A true story about life...
Full English version!

there are video stream from original russian version and overdubbing on english language so that's why lips are off sync!

p.s.: All characters in this cartoon is not real. "People, you suppossed to judge this on how it was meant to be, if it was meant to be the meaning of life, then watch it as that, so dont expect a lot from this. Hey at least this wasnt like the Paladin Series, seriously its over-rated."

Poal's review:

Now after reading the reviews, I see people confussed [and dumbfound].

In my opinion, the monk who Fina[The woman] calls, is either a representation of God, or he is her father. In the case of God, many people belive God has left us and doesn't answer our prayers, ofcourse this is a religious standpoint.

The act of taking her shoe off after breaking her heel, is a representation of, if life throws issues and problems at you, you have to deal with them, because they will happen, so Fina's heel breaks, she takes her [broken] shoe off.

The idea of humanity's point in life being "survivial" is also true[In my opinion]. Biologicaly, we are animals, supperior to others, but still animals. Everything we do is to survive, basicly like wild animals, just more "civilized".

I fully agree with his opinion!

Nicely done

I've seen the original, so I knew what to expect from here. The story is simple and straight to the point. The voices are pretty good like the original. But I can't believe you didn't try recreating the credit sequence!

SOMNAMBULA responds:

bacause this is the credits and this is non-informative... IMHO

amazing

even if it didnt make a lot of sense, which i imagine it did when you thought it up, just had a hard time putting it down. The visuals are absolutely astonishing. The animation is tweened but it looks great. I cant get over the art work, great job.

SOMNAMBULA responds:

Good anim.

I give the score I give because it was very good animation.
Good message, a little bit obvious, but true.
Then again, just because something is obvious, it doesn't mean that we ever actually think about it. Obvious isn't bad, it's just a state of being. Sometimes people need to be reminded of the obvious things, too. You know what I mean?

However, unlike other reviewers, I would be extremely hesitant to state this as the "meaning of life." That's extending the animation way beyond its boundries. I beleive in a general meaning of life, that I won't share because people are rude, but I also beleive that Life has different meanings for different people. For me, my meaning involves other people. I have many special people in my life who I love very much, and who are great friends to me. I love helping people. It's just..my thing. That didn't really come up here, except in the form of "lack thereof." For other people I know, their meaning lies in God or in, in some sad cases, making a buck. Neither of those came up.

In truth, you could say that calling anybody with an alternative opinion narrow-minded is rather...narrow-minded. I can't blame people who have no words for what they're trying to convey and must resort to swearing because its the only words that give them power. Too bad for them.

Tips? A few, I guess.
Your characters looked a little bit....flat-affect. They didn't show a whole lot of emotion. You don't have to change a face a lot to express a lot of emotion. For instance, the mother character didn't look nearly as pissed off as she sounded.
I don't do a lot of flash myself, so I have no idea if that's really hard or not, but I've seen less complex faces show much more emotion. For something that is intended to be emotionally heavy like this, characters need emotion, even if subtly.

Overall, it was excellent. I liked it. It was a bit obtuse and hard to follow sometimes, but I suppose it happens to the best of us.
Good luck with future submissions, I will look foreward to seeing your work again.
