As usual. ^_^ I really love all the "Little" (Should be read TINY Writing) Things you add into your animation, I really liked the progress report you have behind the cheerleaders. ^_^
My stand on tRip is that the pill is there to suppress peoples emotions, the people inside the heads are all the range of emotion that everyone has, all the male emotions are basic and straightforward, like the flexing competition later in this film, and all the female roles are ones focused on learning and silly mischief. The special one fighting the pill is undoubtedly the rebellious nature in us all saying "I don't want to follow the rules and I want to be myself"
In that setting, the pill wants to destroy every emotion in the mind and leave nothing there but the drone left behind, a blank slate for the mad scientist to do what his evil mind wants. But the one thing in it's way is the rebel fighting to keep itself and all the other emotions safe.
That template also fits in with the first movie because of the change of scenery two different people have two different minds (How they grew up and the life experiences make them think differently) But the base emotions are the same so the rebel is still there along with all the other characters.

I really Love your work and I hope to see some more of your work soon. ^_^

Author's Response:

WOW!

This is my favorite review by far. I really like to hear other people's interpretations, but this is the first one I've seen that has really made me sit down and think.

Much love for spotting out the male vs. female characters in the animation. There certainly are differences between those two groups, and I tried to paint as many as I could within the short time period allowed (and with the meager skills I had at my disposal). Still, you're the first to mention the progress report behind the cheerleaders, which even I forgot I put there. xD

Your understanding of tRip is very similar to my own. The pills are indeed a major force of evil that operates on the extreme ends of a spectrum made of covert subtlety and apocalyptic force. And to a point, it IS being used as a tool... at least willingly.

I like the rebel/emotional imagery you touched on very much.

I named the rebel mentioned "Uli" back in Don't Trip. And am planning on making another animation using the same character cast in my next project, The Love I'm Searching 4. This one will be a bit more mellow and will focus on establishing the community I've had in mind with these characters.

Thanks to you though, I'm looking at this project from a pleasantly new angle.

SMOOTH and fast-paced animation this is!

I watched "Don't Trip" before watching this, and I just had to watch this sequel! It's so amazing how you can make these animations so smooth. You have great skills!
The soundtrack chosen is perfect.

Now, I read your response to "splashdynamite", where you say:

"I like to think of the people in his body as viruses who've finally found a home. But either theory is valid--I like hearing what other people get from this."

Ha ha! I've thought the complete opposite all along. I thought the people in the body that fought the pill were "T-cells" killing all viruses entering the body. And since the "trip pill" was a dangerous "underground" pill, as signalized in the first trip with the evil doctor, the T-cells would fight this pill and protect the civilisation in the body.

Well, still a wonderful piece of animation with a good plot - and you've animated it smoothly and perfectly! Both thumps up, miss. Skaijo. ;-)

Much love for the indepth response! I'm really glad you enjoyed it; hearing words like this after I put the effort into this flash really made the project worthwhile.

My words aren't written in stone by any means! xD The T-cell synopsis is pretty interesting too--and who can't live in a world without a evil doctors. :3

This "underground pill" sounds pretty shady. But either way, with any theory we may come up with, tRip is still public enemy number one.
