The zombie horde are unrelenting, insatiable. The only chance to survive is to make it to Union City in 40 days, before the evacuations end.

Move from town to town collecting all you can carry and defend yourself through the night.

Great game, but needs improvement

By far one of the best flash based games I've come across. However, there are some things that tend to zap the fun out of the game play at times. One of the most frustrating things that happen is the instant survivor death that takes place. The fact that the survivors don't do much to defend themselves makes it all the more frustrating. They don't move nor do they shoot until the zombies are close. Sometimes when they begin to shoot, it's too late and the weapon wielding zombie will already be hacking away at them. Sometimes I feel as if they are no help at all, and other times I felt they were essential to survival. It's sort of hit and miss. I remember a time when one of the survivors fired only 2 shots during an entire battle. The rest of the time he just crouched there pointing his gun at the hoard of zombies doing absolutely nothing. Also some of the zombies take alot of bullets to put them on the ground. I've emptied an entire uzi clip into a regular zombie ( not a bullet proof vest zombie) and still had to hit them with a couple of additional rounds to ground them. Aiming for the head kills them faster, but is hard to do and impractical when you have dozens of "runners" coming at your barricade. I also wish that the survivors killed would be there when you restart the battle after you die All in all it's a fun challenging game that will eventually have you screaming obscenities at your monitor. ;)

Better, but...

I think the traveling took away from the repetitive feeling for me. And how you need to learn where to search to find what weapons. This one also does not feel as long because of the days spent traveling, and because you don't need to spend all 40 days playing. All you need to do is get to Union City.

A little more animated: Zombies no longer move in straight lines towards the player. Traps are a handy way to slow their forces, and survivers are not only re-equippable, they are more trigger happy too.

The thing that bothered me was that the zombies would disappear after being defeated. I know that erasing the level from unused animations helps the game run smoother/faster, but it took away from the realism for me.

I do have one suggestion for if you decide to make another. Since I noticed that zombies are capable of reaching over the barricade and killing your survivors, maybe dead survivors could come back as zombies on your side ove the barricade posing as an added threat? Just something to think about.

Read below

Great game, though perhaps a bit too hard. You're really gambling every round hoping that not too many fat running men/women with weapons appear. Sometimes you do good not leting a single person get to your defenses, other times you get flooded.

I would really like to see an advanced 3rd version of this game. Like in a scenario where you protect a zombiefree city, sometimes leaving it to find supplies to survive and such.
To be honest, im not the greatest fan of this kind of defensivegame. Though it being really good with few missing details, it is worth a good halfround 8,5. Unfortunately there is no 8,5 on the system so lets raise it to 9 and hope you make a 3rd even better version ;-)

I was so freaking excited when I read there was a part 2!
When I started the first fight I though it was mainly the same as the first part, but there are a lot of new things. Especially the interactive travelling and searching and giving guns to the survivors is a good aspect.

It's only kinda shame that the reloading is much slower now.
