As promised, in my blog here, this is what I had finished to hand in for my 3D Shorts class. I want to go back and fix a whole lot of stuff in it. I also want to add back in the little pieces that I left out to progress the story.

This was made with Maya 2008, Photoshop CS3, and AfterEffects CS3.

For more info on the characters, you can either wait months until the next part of the episode, or just go to my site in my profile.

I know, it's short and seems random, but when I get the other parts done, it'll make more sense.

Not bad at all

While I didn't think this was funny, I admit that it had its good points, or at least its enjoyable points. The CGI was interesting, if only because it was funny in a really dumb way. I liked how the characters moved and how the skeleton reformed. The dialogue was a little hard to understand, but it wasn't terrible. I think that with more plot, better animation and voice work, this could be something really popular. I mean, it certainly is an idea I haven't seen on this site before.

Hmm.. Do I have something in my ear???

No... the audio was THAT bad. Like mentioned before, the voice acting was quite less than stellar and a bit muffled making it quite hard to understand.
I gave a 6 based on your hard work in creating nice 3D visuals. Nice Work!
You just need a better recording setup, and definately need to have some friends help you in providing voices for the other characters. Pretty minor things to come by, but will definately improve the presentation. Talent you have, and hope to see newer, and improved works!

Phrozin responds:

If I had time for more recording takes and a recording setup beyond a pair of headphones jacked into the mic, it might've been a little better. But, time constraints and all.

Acting!

You need to get better voice actors if you cant do it yourself. It could be really good because I love the animation. Make them longer too. Good luck in the future.

Hmm

I don't hate it, but I don't like it. I wouldn't say I dislike it though. Things aren't just black and white you see, there's a grey area, and your movie has taken up residence in this grey area...

I'm sure I was going somewhere with that, but it hasn't happened. I think what really let down this movie was the voice acting. It wasn't bad, but it seemed to lack emotion, and it sounded like people were putting on the voices. Obviously, people were, but it's good when the voice acting sounds natural, not forced.

3D though, was good. Sure, it looked cheap, but I liked that. And might I add, the blood going down the drain looked cool, but looked dodgy coming out of the woman.

It really wasn't that great, but I am Interested in seeing what you do in the future.

Phrozin responds:

Grey... I've always been neutral. Anyway, the voice acting was the best I could do on a deadline. I had to do it really quick for timing. Voice acting is pretty high up on my list of redoing. I actually had better reaction from the woman bleeding than the drain pipe part, which kind of lasts a bit too long.

I guess ok

That was ok I mean it was kinda short but the animation was great keep up the 3D man! Look for different story lines other than just that. It's a sugestion

Phrozin responds:

Thanks. I'm going to be working on other projects. Gotta diversify.
