Thanks for the front page Tom!

Happy Star Day 2008!

Here is the flash you've all been waiting for. "Night in Hotlanta" is an immense 13 minute long megaflash that includes Parts 1, 2, and 3 of Dailytoon #400. This flash has been 6 months in the making, 4 months since the release of Part 1.

It is undoubtedly the most effort the Star Syndicate has ever put into a flash animation. It is also most likely the LAST official Star Syndicate flash collab ever; after this, we will still be around but no longer as a crew. The style and graphics of each part varies based on the artist that animated it, but the story remains constant.

Please be patient while the flash loads, it is 13 MBs so it should take awhile. But trust me, it is worth the wait.

This is a DVD edition so there are some special features, including scene selection and voice actor commentary. During the movie, right click for playback controls.

Thanks to everyone who helped with this. Its an incredible relief to finally get it done. Enjoy!

i have to agree

that while you put in lots of effort and while you had a few funny items in there, it was nothing new or interesting. i was turned off right away, but then a few minutes later i got a lil more into it. this changed again without my wait...

the audio wasnt the best. im no expert on what to suggest, but im sure there are better microphones you could have used (and programs like goldwave would help).

the direction of the movie was pretty good. ill def give you that much.

finally, consider partnering with a good artist to fancy it up a bit. while you did a decent job, these fools on this site will automatically give you higher props just for graphical skills.

i feel bad having to state these things because it is obvious that you put a lot into this. i think it should be taken as a learning experience. i can tell that you could definitely put out much better work.

this wasnt about making the best flash possible. it was about celebrating everything that made the SS fun. if there werent any crappy animation, it wouldnt have been as true to the SS. not really intended for a general audience although its definitely more accessible than the rest of the stuff we made

StarSyndicate's Last Hurrah!

I must say, this has got to be the one of the greatest movies here. The noir scences made me more involed in the movie.

Thank you for this.

well, you lost my interest.

Sorry, but the first 5 minutes weren't funny, cool, possessive of a interesting story line or that well drawn to keep me watching the other 8. It's clear you guys put a lot of effort into it, but I just didn't find it entertaining.

TheStarSyndicate responds:

thats why there is scene selection

Hello guys.

I was just wondering these days what you guys are doing and if you still exist.

Well this is an answer. A pretty much awesome one. Congratulations on this.

You probably don't know me no more, but I once said that I will always support the SS no matter what, and I am glad that I could make my promise true.

Also: HI RED, WHAT'S GOING ON ?

And to the whole SS: Without you, I would have never survived so long on Newgrounds, without you, this place would be even more horrible. Thank you for that.

hello

wow. wow.

wow.

well, i have to say. that was like... indescribable. undescribable? nondescribable? tower of babel?

i absolutely love the whole thing. i had never read the entire script when it was being made, because i didn't want to spoil it. unfortunately, i knew about the absolute final scene just from casually browsing the forums, but i seriously let out a few tears of laughter when it came up anyway.

the subtle references made my spleen tickle, of course. my favorite part is the phone's ring tone. short loop 2. did i send that to somebody? i thought i was the only one in history who had actually saved that.

lmao, well, the thing is, i was so busy looking for the subtleties that i wasn't paying attention to the dialogue when the plot twist was revealed before the final tape scene. whoops!

watching this, i do sort of regret that i didn't play a single part in it. that's pretty hard to believe, really, considering how much pride i'll always find in such a strange and esoteric group, but i just never thought that i could muster up something worthy enough of the greater effort. however, my lack of participation has not hampered my apprecation of this ditty.

the last ss flash eh? well, unfortunately for yOU, i don't think so. even though this project took a long time, i think it has satisfied everyone involved or associated with it, which is of course, the best result of any ambitious work.

well, all i know is that personally, i'll have a lot more free time this summer. hehe, mostly because i won't be going anywhere for any extended period of time. maybe we'll finally finish a certain music video that predates even this one's beginning... hUH HUH?

i got short loop 2 from the SS soundtrack

that free time in the summer can be put towards whatever flashes we're workin on as a group. we can definitely still work as a group, but fuck calling ourselves the star syndicate. we will let the flash speak for themselves
