I've worked on abstracta a couple of weeks now, and I'm proud to present it on NG!

Abstracta is an attempt at translating classic game mechanics that I love into a unique and fluent new game experience. It starts simple: collect crystals, make combos, avoid the deadly mines, fight the four evil bosses - but it gets increasingly complex over time, as more powerups are unlocked.

Controls: Mouse to move. SPACEBAR to toggle menu.

Note: I found abstracta very immersive during development, to the point where I didn't get any work done because every time I tested a new feature I ended up playing 15 minutes, completely forgetting what I should be testing. Well, might be just me, but don't say I didn't warn you, it might be addictive ;)

WUNDERBAR!

ORIGINAL, SIMPLE, AND JUST CHALLENGING ENOUGH TO COME BACK FOR MORE. IF YOU DON'T LOVE IT, YOU'RE A MORON

Fantastic

I wasted half an hour on this game before school and had a blast. It's a calm game, not raising your blood pressure or anything, while still being ever so slightly challenging and inevitably enjoyable as hell. The music also fit the atmosphere uncannily. I must also commend you on the naming: it was what brought me to this page in the first place.

Well done, chap. Bring in some more goodies.

Simple and addictive!

I played this game for 30min but then I died. I loved the controls and the boses! I't alot like the bubble game but with much more in it. The 1942 feature was my favorite personally, but mostly because I love playing that game. Great concept!
