- Bubble Bust -

Move with your mouse and don't get hit by the expanding bubbles! That's pretty much all you need to know, but there are some other thing that are useful to know before you play.
- You are contained inside a green box that you cannot go outside of, which
constantly changes shape and size.
- The bubbles' speed constantly increases
- Every 10 points you level up, which basically means you get bigger

Not ready for prime time

Interesting idea, but there's a lot of polishing to be done. I feel that around the time the game starts to require some interaction is also about the same time when you get sealed in the corner waiting for your death, temple of doom style. I feel the graphics were a bit plain, and even a simple music loop could have added a lot of warmth to the game experience.

Here are some changes I would like to see-
1) add some background art that changes upon level up
2) sleeker graphics for the bubbles, perhaps something with a little transparency
3) music

This would be more difficult, but making the green boundary box a different shape, such as an irregular polygon or (better still) a maze would add a lot more interest. Or alternately, having the bubbles be actual enemies with AI and blasters would add a lot more interaction and a lot more fun. Another thing you might try would be to include a weapon or powerup that you can use to fragment and scatter the bubbles. Just some ideas to mull over.

I think the general idea is interesting, and the play control itself is pretty smooth, but I think it needs better packaging to become a more complete gaming experience.

Don't get discouraged! I think you're heading in the right direction! I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thanks very much for your comments! This is the first game I have made and I was more focussed on just getting something out there and seeing what happens than producing a polished, final game. Despite this, there will definitely be a sequel on the way with better graphics (where did i get that idea from!) and maybe some music (BTW I tried to find some music but i had no idea where to look, any suggestions).

thanks!

It's OK

It's kinda slow to develop. Took me a minute or two just to get to level 3 and all I'd had to do was nudge my mouse every now and then. Maybe have the green box change shape more radically more quickly, and maybe have the expanding dots move around a little or something to make it more challenging.

I think something was lost in translation from my swf to the web because it is quite laggy and therefore slower. Im not sure if it would be better if i sped it up, or if it would just lag more and be less fluent. Ill have to look in to that one.

Only One Flaw

Great game, but in all the Dynamic Text, go into properties and make it non-selectable.

0koopy0 responds:

thanks! I never knew that

ah not bad

Well i actually think this game isnt that bad.. I played it for quite a while lol.. but you know it woulda made it better if it wasnt so slow. you know what i mean? But yeah I see this is your first flash not bad for a first one. -give you props for dat-

0koopy0 responds:

yeah the speed seems to be an issue with most people. Thanks for taking time to comment its really helpful.
