Not only is Mario a plumber, but he also works at the virus research lab in mushroom kingdom!

That's right dudes and dudettes, it's DOCTOR MARIO!

"Awesome Video Games" is a throwback to late 80's/early 90's videogame television. The days where videogame tips were hardly anything but speculation and instructions from the booklet.

Reviewing popular nintendo games: cool! i really enjoyed doctor mario, so i decided to give this a look was not too entertaining. Saw like one or two of these before, they are not getting much better. How does this series keep getting front page again...? lol. must be fun for the stoners to watch =P

Mixed feelings haha

since this series has been floating around since forever i decided to check it out, and i just got sorta confused.

on one hand, you REALLY pulled off the cheesy 90's 'vidyo games are sooooo cool!' Captain N style thing very well. The concept then is pretty great but...nothing was that funny (except the guy who kept talking to the space where the camera should be). I think its 'cos I've seen the same sort of thing done before a few too many times.

Need new material

So even though it seems like its hit or miss, the show needs some origninality. While having those characters could be original for the first few, when it gets to the 29th episode the material starts to become stale. As a result of this, even when something original does come along, it is thrown to the side along with the material that seems quite rehashed. I would say either make them a bit shorter or focus more on the actual characters and give them some depth so as there is more material to draw on.
