It's up to you to turn things around in the American Revolutionary War. This is a fast paced game that is in need of a war hero. So what are you waiting for?!

One of the better games on Newgrounds.

Graphics are superb , the gameplay is good.
The bad things were already stated in past reviews , e.g. historical inaccuracy :)

TJMGold responds:

Thanks man. I just submitted another game called "Black Hole Escape." I tried getting away from first person shooters, but evidently people enjoy them more as the scores reflect.

I liked it

The first thing I have to say is to all the players saying it's too hard. It is not hard, you just need to play it a couple times to get the hang of it. Second, it was a good game, the graphics could use some work and maybe several battles with different commands, rather then just firing blindly at enemy soldiers. I'm gonna give it a 7 because eben though I don't normally like this type of game, it had me playing until I beat the last difficulty. I look forward to a sequel.

TJMGold responds:

Wow, I didn't think I'd ever see another written review for this game. Thanks man, for your opinion.

First of all...

......this game has awesome physics and gameplay,...but there are a few things that you need to work on. Too hard for non gamers and non instructive instructions bring it down a few notches. All ya needed was ,..hey its a FPS done in flash based on history.

TJMGold responds:

This is to everyone... Now that WAR 1776 is off the front page, I'll address some reviews. Just for the record, I made sure I could beat this game on all difficulties before I submitted it. And just to double check, I just now did it again. So those of you saying it's too hard, you won't get better unless you keep trying. Secondly, I am aware muskets were 1 shot reload weapons. I tested reloading out while making the game, and it slowed the game down and made it less fun. That's why you don't reload. And thirdly, I am aware the enemy traditionally fought in lines on the battlefield. Now how fun would it be picking off soldiers one at a time and wondering when you're going to get shot? That's why they appear to be fighting a "guerilla warfare" style. Anyway, I would like to thank you all for your comments.

Good! And yet...

You need to do more work on this. First off, the British used gentleman style warfare, not guerilla warfare. What that means is that the British fought in lines, rather than running, hiding, firing, and running around like crazy. Yeah, that's right, I said running twice. So that means it's extremely unlikely that a British soldier will pop up right in front of you out of nowhere and begin firing. As for actual gameplay, it was good for the most part, if a bit too difficult. Graphics could use a bit of improvement, but so far, so good. You did pretty good on this, really, just work out the historical inaccuracies and improve graphics and gameplay.

umm

toooo hard
