Its a good game an all its just my person just keeps disapearing and then i can look and fire but cant jump its weird it have to be a bug or something plz fix this

I don't know why, but the controls were so buggy for no reason. I couldn't even play it without the game freaking out. It kept firing all of my ammo without stopping. I loved these games, so I'm sure this one is pretty fantastic, but i just can't play it. It's a pretty old game, too, so i know my computer is good enough to handle it. Is there something I'm not doing right?
