The next chapter in the Thing-Thing saga!

For those of you having lag issues, you can change the graphics quality in the pause/options menu.

Pretty cool game but I think I like the old ones better :S the more open areas where more fun... and well I have to admit I got stuck in the C section of the biowaste place. The third Door just wouldnt open and then my comp froze up due to lag with all the animation pilling up :S

Could have been much better.

See...this is by all means a very visually beautiful piece of work. Your level design is much better this time around, and it actually resembles certain environments instead of lots of platforms for platforms' sake.

Several things that annoy me though:
You're still on the old "kill enough people to advance" system. Personally, I'd much prefer having to solve certain objectives (finding key, blowing up door, etc.) instead. I understand that you've been experimenting several things while leaving others to tradition, but this system in particular has been duplicated in nearly every shooting game.

Your weapon system is also quite aggravating. First of all, picking up weapons and having only two of them is one step for realism, but I can't tell all of what I have on hand and how much ammunition I have left on that at any moment. Not being allowed to bash people with eventually empty weapons makes it worse. Personally, I find Thing Thing 2's ammo system more appropriate here, so you can pick up better weapons if you want but won't have to care about ammo too much in the process.

Even on the lowest quality setting i still found myself playing a skipping Thing-Thing 4. When i first saw this, i had my hopes up, because the games just got better and better. This however, dissapointed me. The ammo was hard to pick up, i got swarmed too often, and the rate of fire was horrible. I think we all know an ak-47 (although slow) fires faster than that.

There were graphic improvements however. New costume options were a definite plus. during the short periods of time i had between each level when i wasnt completely swarmed with enemies gameplay was smooth. gore was updated, but, not so much. as much as i love brutal headshots, hearing the same grotesque slpat everytime i land a kill get annoying. so does the piling up of bodies and brains mixed with spent shells.

Overall, a good game. i can see the effort, and i noted the health bar was now transformed into a Gears of War style fade-in-and-out logo.
