So true!!!

That happened to me, one time i was buying Call of Duty 2 : Big Red One (eventually got it off EBAY). They only had 1 copy so i was all exsited, since i love war games where i can blow people up with out feeling sorry for them. So i pay for it, and so on. Head to the MacDonalds across the parking lot in the Walmart, just for a bite to eat. So i check it after opening it with my KEY, since they have a sticker to hold it shut so you can't look at it and leaving some sticky goo on the case (hence y i keep them in a CD/DVD holder). So checked it out and it was scratched like someone used it as a Frizbie!! Normally alittle wear on the silver/blue side of the CD or DVD is ok with me, but this was on the ACTUAL art part!! so it's gone, never going to be repaired or anything. I was mad so i took it back and had to buy another game of equal value, so eather they don't check well enough, or atleast let me check before i pay for it. ugh it's infuriating.

A perfect summary of all Gamer torment

I feel the same way. I walk into some of the stores where I used to get my games and see all these crazy insanely high prices and almost immediately walk out. I'm not spending more than $15 dollars on any given game, espacially when I can play 'Frogger' online for free, which, despite it's tedious repetitive nature, is one hell of a fun game. Plus, I can just buy all my favorite classics at a backroad, old gamer's store that sells n64's. I really did find a store like that, and they were selling all their games a great prices. I think you covered the subject really well, but missed one point that I often find irritating about these gouging stores as well, their tendancy to drop merchandise after one or two weeks, only to appear months later as the same high priced 'used' game.

But overall you've effectively called out all the stores who, like monetary vampire, suck all avid gamers dry of their hard earned cash.
