I worked on this for about an hour, a considerably short time for a piece of flash. I did the good old sniper tutorial, but with ammo, hostages and zooming. Didn't do masking though, doesn't really work on my flash, or maybe I did it wrong. This assumes you have a basic knowledge of actionscript 2.0. This tutorial was developed for you by Wolfears2, was made in and is aimed at Flash MX 2004. Tried my best to make it understandable. Thanks to everyone who views and reviews =P.
EDIT: I had to change the .swf, the links to NG and my site weren't working. Sorry if anyone noticed.
Most likely I'm going to do another subject next time, but I MIGHT do another sniper tutorial on the very last details and things. I'd much rather do something like RPGs ore something more challenging, perhaps a racing thing.
EDIT2: I've fixed the watch again button and the cursor. After the example about halfway through, you couldn't see it.

Nice tutorial and good choice of music. But maybe better animations to that guy dying, and a "go back" button. Because if i miss something, i should be able to go back to the previous frame and see what i missed or something. Also, you can make a menu which contains buttons that will take you to the hostages part, zooming part, whatever. I will recommend this to Flash Tutorials collection.

Author's Response:

That's probably the most informative response I've had. For the guy dying, I was sort of rushing, and my animations are really bad anyway =P. I oughta put a back button in, you're right, I'll do that next time. I'll do a menu as well, and thanks for the recommendation ;)

Author's Response:

If the problem is what I think it is, then look at the code and change the -s or +s to the opposite.If that's not it, could you pm me please?

I need help, everything is working fine except when i use all ammo on background and i have 0 ammo I can still kill the guy without having to reload.

I think it has to do with the last piece of code. Where do I put it? I didn't understand "the cursor underneath"
PLEASE HELP ME

Author's Response:

Nice and easy one to fix. On the first frame of your character, put:
stop();
in the frames actions. =D Hope I helped.
