More Squirrel Songs For the Masses!

Rated 3 / 5 stars

I write this because I'm a Foamy Fan.

So it's coming to this, is it? Foamy can no longer write songs for general contempt of society and politics? It's getting personal and seems sharp and clever ideas are coming to a screeching halt.

We all know he's keen to go off whatever he hates, whenever he wants, but come on now! He's just bitching about one person in a song, probably some random hater who actually managed to get under his skin like he tends to get under almost every other Foamy hater.

Repeating the "I'm lord and master" spiel in a different way that completely lacks appeal this time around doesn't help either. His first sets of songs had some structure at least, but the overwhelming desire for the world to acknowledge his superiority has obstructed his lyrical prowess.

Like I said, I am a fan, I like Foamy, what I'm not liking is the petty direction it's going. Sure, some may say "Just click something else" and I will and do. But when what you enjoy is starting to claw at the chalkboard, it's time to move on. Kind of like watching Thundercats again, don't do it, just keep the good memories.

Just MY opinion to the author, but maybe there's a bit much focus on the plush dolls?

Getting Old

Hmm, interesting that whenever Foamy makes an appearance a ridiculous number of Newgrounders want to incite a riot, while others want to put the bastard on a pedestal and worship him as the second coming.

Interesting review, quite a few sentences there probably made some readers run and hide. Anyway while I agree that the entire Foamy series is rather uninspired I do have to say that not everything has to be well-animated, well-written, or groundbreaking. I know this is an exaggeration, but bear with me.
Foamy provides simple entertainment, that is all. And while I agree that the series should be laid to rest, to be so harsh on an individual is pointless. He had found a niche that works for him, let him be. If you don't like it simply don't watch it.
You're also being rather harsh on NG (I'm taking the NY to be a typo). This is a site whose slogan is "Everything, by Everyone." As such, there will be a lot of stuff that you or I may think is garbage, others however may be entertained by it and good for them. Enjoy "Brackenwood," "Future," and "The New Guy," I know I do, but also allow others to enjoy "Foamy," along with the miles of insipid, unimaginative bullshit that makes it's way to this site.

Frankly, I'm starting to get tired of all this "Artier than thou" bullshit that appears anytime this stuff comes on. If you don't like it, then blam it and say why you don't like it. Don't make a personal attack on those who create and enjoy it. To each their fuckin' own.

Low point in an otherwise very fine series

I agree with the previous reviewer, Foamys constant arrogance is getting tiresome. We know he doesn't give a f**k, so why does he feel the need to keep reminding us of it over and over? Anyone who cares enough about their image to say that so much obviously does care what some people think. That sort of thing reeks of contradiction, and Foamy is in danger of becomng a hypocrite. But then who am I next to the great and powerful coffee swilling rodent?

I don't really know what to say...

Good animation, it's just... Boring. So boring. I like the music, it's just boring. Sorry!

Although his basis may be sound, Foamy expresses it in a fashion no one enjoys. End of story.
