Author's Response:
It's 6am. I'm still awake and the birds are quite loud. I just now noticed some spots of dried liquid on my door. It looks like tea, or perhaps coffee. I wonder how long it's been there. On my second computer there is some maple syrup in a maple-leaf shaped glass flask. It seems as though it were masquerading as some expensive liquor.
On that note. I'll take a sip. Two decent sips in fact. It seems a bit thinner than most maple syrup, but also creamier and more genuinely mapley. It leaves that sort of stickiness reminiscent of kissing a girl with lipgloss. The aftertaste lasts for longer than one would expect and makes me crave french toast. And bacon. Oh delicous bacon.
That tears it. I'm going to have to eat something soon, and that means I probably won't go to sleep until much much later. Normally that's what breakfast means, waking up. I haven't had enough beer for it to mean go to sleep and there's a free show in the park this afternoon that I'm quite excited to go to.
I think I may make some flash now. <3
