After 5 months of work and more than 12k lines of code written.. here comes StarCraft Flash RPG!
Level up one of the most famous characters, buy new units and upgrades, fight hordes of enemys,
but finally, meet and kill a new ultimate Zerg creation!
Features: about 5-10 hours of playtime, save / load game, autosave after every won battle, quests, npcs etc..

Warning: This game is hard. Just don't give up after first loose..
(If you still die alot, reduce difficulty to "low", but remember "hard" is the best)

Instructions: After starting a new game, click on your hero (in the middle of the screen) and turn "selection lock" to ON, so you can click anywhere to move.
Your first step should be to go to Barracks and buy medic or firebat.
After that, just go out of the city and enjoy watching how your squad kills some zergs.

You gain experiances, minerals and gas in battles or by doing quests.
Spend them in Barracks, Factory, Shop, Spaceport or Laboratory.

Remember: This is not an action game! Just sit and enjoy the show :-)
Not all locations are accessible, this is because of the 10 MB limit.

Nice, very nice.

Though I wish you got check points, annoying that every time I die, I go back from the start (though will all my stuffs intact). Also, where are the other shops? Science vessels?

All main buildings can be found in starting city, the second neutral zone is just small terran mining outpost.
Try not to die :)

how do you beat the undeground monster

plase it would help me alot

maciik responds:

I suggest you to use nuclear bomb, EMP and defensive matrix.
put def. matrix on your first (tanking) unit, next to him medic or two and
2 tanks in siege mode in back.

kind of fun, good use of the starcraft graphics/animations and system, on flash.

Lots of battles, so much that it get tiresome.

world map a bit confusing, you should re-design it a bit (i understand conections, but nature 1, for example, should over main base.)

Try making the quest/story most appealing.

Give access to upgrades at all human outpost (its long to walk back to the main base to upgrade)

Difficulty increase in sudden steps, when we finish the first mission, the first random encounter killed half my team, cuz it was something around 4 hydra and 2 zerglings.. more deadly than the mission itself!

I really dig the concept..

I haven't spent more than 30 minutes playing so take my words with a grain of salt.

This seems to me to be an excellent start to a SC RPG on par with some of the "use maps settings" you can find for the real SC. There isn't too much of a story which makes it hard to get in to the RPG style of the game but that can be work on.

I happen to like the combat system, it reminds me of Advanced Wars.

Path-finding for your character is non-existent, which can be a pain when you barely clip a building or the corner of the map area.

After scouting through a town, it would be great if locations of interest would show on your mini-map so that you could just click on the location on the mini-map and go there instantly (sorta like Fallout.) I don't think it would help gameplay if you could do the same on the "world" map, though being able to buy a Vulture to cruise around the wasteland at high speed would be nifty (you could even try to change Raynors sprite into the Vulture sprite.

I'm sure there's more stuff.. but that seems to be the main hangups I can find.

I hope you have the patience to keep tweaking this game.. Good luck

Thx for review.
You can buy Terran Banshee, a new flying unit to transport your party faster and without any terrain limitations.

protoss crystal

good game overall. moving takes a while but once you buy the transport its much faster. is there actually a protoss crystal or does it just say that so you can never get that craft? boss is really hard any suggestions?

Seems to me that you are one of the lucky guys that stared the game when I accidentally uploaded my test version with lots of $$$ :)

Yes, protoss crystal can be found, but you will need some stuff for it, like radar, science vessel etc. It is located in the underground tunnel.

Boss is strong, I suggest using nuclear missile, EMP and defensive matrix.
