This is my very first flash. I've never ever used it before, and this is my first drawn animated short. My first one was a video shot when I was 11. Ten years later I've made my second animation. I'm honestly stunned as to how this turned out, though I've taught myself all I know so far about flash animation while making this project within, like, ten days or so

I don't think this would be considered to be the first dramatic stick film, though I could be wrong and be the first person to submit a dramatic "stick flick." Though I'm sure we can all relate to the theme, where after so much hardship and bitterness and after all has ended and been lost... there's always, always something new coming our way. Rebirth or more trouble. There is no real story to this except the aftermath of something so great and brutal, it almost turns the whole world into a black and white landscape. Is he dead? Is this a dream, a nightmare?

Enjoy the show.

EDIT: I admit it's a bit long, but nonetheless it wouldn't be favourable to have the thing too short.

it just seemed a bit TOO long for dramatic suspense in some places. Not bad though. Keep working, you seem to be doing quite well for a first attempt.

That's pretty much another one of those movies that aren't really flashy, but still end up being pretty epic.

It wasn't too long i dont think. Its pretty good for your frist/second flash given the time frame you provided above. I'd say good job. I liked how it was done, and the music went nicely with the movie. Keep it up!

"definately different for a stick flash"

date: March 1, 2008

Usually a stick submission is endless, pointless violence.
This was different... & I can't remember seeing one like this before.
It was short & not a lot went on, I actually thought it might be like stick figures cleaning up the bodies of the dead sticks ect.
As it went along I started looking for it to turn into a stick flame , the usual stick flash.
But you refraned from tha course.
So I voted a 3 & 6 stars for what I found to be a unique stick submission.
Good luck

"A very good first submission."

Firstly, let me just say it was ncie to see an interesting choice of music, set to an animation with a very nice tone and atmosphere. I think you successfully captured some emotion, an even more commendable achievement since it was a stick flick. I would be really interested to see how you fair outside of stick because you used some nice effects for your backgrounds. I think you have a nice platform here on which to build the rest of your work. Well done.

"An impressive first work"

Well done! For your first cartoon, you show a real talent for setting mood and framing a scene. The minimalist style served the story well, I think.
