Now before you start blamming this submisson please note. Yes, it is a video, but judge this film on what it offers, not what it looks like.

This short is about a kid waking up in the middle of the night, only to find that there is a guy at the door who wants to take a shower. This short was directed by Augie Marchese and Ryan Borbely.

Sorry for the quality. For fast computers the quality should be very good, but for slow computers (or without an updated drive) the picture will be bad up until the door opens in the film.

"First things first, this is a VIDEO"

date: February 26, 2008

Post this on youtube, but it may actually be better if you don't post this anywhere. The quality was bad, it was hard to decipher noises (In the start), and it made no sense. I don't care about what you say up there : "Yes, it is a video, but judge this film on what it offers, not what it looks like.", well, THIS IS NEWGROUNDS!

Things to improve on: Ummm I generally don't do videos, but one: It needs quality, better sounds, decent story line, and one more thing-It needs to be a FLASH. I know I'm probably pissing you off, but I'm saying this on how I see it. Sorry but no, your project was a complete failure.

By the way, I have an awesome computer, and the quality still sucked at the beginning.

Author's Response:

Yeah, whatever. I am pissed, but I kind of like hate mail. So, nice try. No matter how many times I get a zero, I know that you were stupid to watch it. Besides! It was 12:00pm when we shot it! Damn!

"I really like that."

Well, My first review in a while. Well deserved, It had a sort of strange out of the blue funny effect on me. You're quite incentric for your age, and that was quite funny, Not a whole heap of quality there, but a general talent for composing a shot, and using flash, I really hope this doesn't get blammed, because it does show a little spark of some proper talent to come.

There is very few negative things I could say about this video. But maybe you should work on your sound, It wasn't very impressive, especially the loop, a bit disappointing in that regard.

All else is well.

Author's Response:

About the sound, 12:00pm. What are you gonna do? The loop was so that the viewer would think of this seriously until the record goes and the stupidness comes in.

"Needs a lot more cowbell"

First, you need to get the picture a bit brighter. You don't have to invest in a bunch of lighting, but at the very least, have some sort of light so the foreground is visible without having to turn brightness to the max on my monitor.

Second, I would get rid of the record scratches. They take away from what is going on. They are good for when something crudely breaks a mood or a character does something that completely breaks from the norm, but it just doesn't work here.

Third, I would sit down and try to write a coherent storyline and coherent script. This makes absolutely no sense.

Good luck with your next submission.

Author's Response:

Okay, here's the deal with the lighting okay. When watched in the first cut. It was fine. So, sorry for that. Next, this was a random movie! Understand random? Third, the record scratches were there so that it seemed like the "creepiness" was kind of set up. Got it?
