: Update: Daily First and Frontpage?! Thanks guys! Glad to see you enjoy this as it was really just an experiment. =D

This is not your standard music based game. It is an experimental game to test how music and platformers can mix. You do not have to play to the rhythm, but rather the rhythm plays with you.

This is an exciting combination of Music and Platformer Genres, with 4 stages that have 4 different play mechanics. It IS all centered around your average platform game, but with a very large and musical twist. This is probably my most original flash I've made in a while.

Caution: The game is pretty tough, and it will most definitly take you more than one try to make it through the whole thing. The final boss is pretty challenging, but very possible to beat.

pretty fun

I'd probably say the controls and character reaction are the only things that could be improved here.

i just dont know when i last played a good game
this game was really good and i had also some ideas like: you can kick the blocks away or double jup would be also good
also choosing music at the start would be great
i hope you make another one or make this one more better
oh and now it is one of my faves :)

Great I reckon

It was great. The levels were ok. I think the colours were maybe too random to look good. maybe have a set colour pallet? like only 5 colours for the blocks and such. It looked fine on the 3rd level; though.

To Kaoy's review, did you try jumping? lol.

I like the concept of the shapes matching to the music. Maybe next time try and use a glowing effect of some sort, like for instance if you have seen Geometry Wars? Simple shapes but cool effects. It will probably use a lot of system power though as a downside. I do agree with Kaoy with not being able to see the floor on level 1 being annoying. I'm sure you could figure something out. Great game anyway. Keep them coming. ;)

Well... Hmmm...

I like it, and its a nice idea. The game is good. The execution however is kinda meh. The first level is randomly generated, yeah? Well, sine wehn you jump you can't see the floor, you have a good chance of landing in gap and being dragged back while trying to get out of it. The second level is fun and fine. The third level is a littel ufair, becuse if you stand still and a light forms around you, you won't be able to get out of it in time. If you are a close to a light but not in it, it will hit you. And if you try and run to avoid being hit, becuse of the stall and slide you character does, if you are about to run into a light and turn to avoid, you still get hit by it.

I don't know if there are more levels becuse even the one time(out of 20 some plays) I managed to reach level 3 with 9 lives, I got slaughtered by it. I mean, there were a few instances where the lights seemed to all form around my character in a way that they would triangulate me so I couldn't go anywhere. Maybe if there was less random, it would work a bit better.

This is a really revolutionary concept - in an alternative universe, I could imagine Super Mario Galaxy being like a 3D version of level 3. It's practically a new genre. Another thing - is it pre-scripted or generated by algorithm? Because if it's made by algorithm, I'd love to see a option to use your own music - Dragonforce + This Game = Hardest (and best) Platform Game Evar!!!!11! 1! ! !!!!!

You should try and get a version made for an iPod game. I'd love this by algorithm on my 'Pod, and with my own music... (Foams at mouth)

Oh dear, I appear to be getting overexcited. BAD IMAGINATION! DOWN, BOY!

I'd buy this if expanded, as you may have gathered. A commercial version would make me squeal with almost as much delight as Smash Bros. Brawl will.
