The 2nd installment of a mix between Pac Man and Frogger. I've been workin on this with my mates for a month now. I have never put more effort into a flash. This has also got the first game included inside it but theres a better a better version if you look for pogger 1 and you don't need to play it to understand the story line of the 2nd. If you play this please leave a reveiw i like to hear peoples opinions but if you do leave a reveiw tell me if this game is FUN. sorry about the way the last level is set out I was having some trouble but I'll try to sort that out soon. This also includes an animation at the end thats good and worth playing for. Please tell me if any part of this game doesn work. Alltogether there is 9 levels in the 2nd game but with the first game theres 13.

"Needs improvement. (RRC, Review #8)"

Well the idea is good, if not original. But the graphics is where it got me. You should work on not using basic tools such as the paint brush. The gameplay was actually kind of hard. The character was basic as should be for Pac-Man. So you lost no points there. And again it wasn't very fancy. You have a good idea so rethink and get some better detailed graphics. Over than that, fairly decent game.

"Wasn't very impressed"

date: March 16, 2008

Graphics/Animation: 3
You had the main character well done, and you had animation and graphics, but nothing was all that well drawn. You need to put a lot more effort into your flashes and add a lot more detail because this was really lacking. Even if the main characters look choppy or simple and undetailed, at least try and do your best to draw really good backgrounds for the stages themselves. The character and enemy movements are also not all that impressive - mainly because they just kinda float long the screen with no I guess the best word to use would be "lifelike" movements. One final thing was the title screens and game over screens. You need to spend a lot more time with them instead of just tossing in some simple lined texts. Try and make full buttons instead of forcing the person who is playing you game to try and hit the tiny text exactly on to replay. Everything counts, including the small things you may think don't really matter.

Audio: 4
The audio wasn't bad, but it was just very repetitive and didn't go along with the levels in the game or anything that was relevant to what was going on in the levels. If you added more sounds of enemies killing the main character or the main character running into things it would be much better for the person playing the game. Sound is everything in today's flashes, and it's something you should always try and improve.

Gameplay: 1
I'm sorry for such a low score, but everything leading up to this point in the game killed it for me. When the graphics and animation are bad and the audio doesn't sound to great, then the game is a flop generally in the gameplay. The levels were fairly monotonous, and the enemies moved in wierd patterns that kind of chopped around the screen. Another problem is the proximity between you and the enemy that gets you killed. There's almost a halo of space that's fairly large around the enemy that causes you to die when touching it, instead of touching the enemy itself. The gameplay really needs a lot of work.

Originality: 6
The idea of pacman and frogger is fairly new to me, and I think I reviewed the first version of this also. The only reason this isn't a 10/10 for originality is because you didn't use the originality aspect to it's full potential.

Overall: 2/10
This may seem like a harsh score, but I put a lot of thought into every aspect of this review that would help you make a better game. I really hope you will do so because this lacks in almost every area except originality. You can make a good game, and I know it, but you just need to actually take your time on the game itself instead of doing everything so quickly. Keep trying, you'll nail this eventually.

"needs a serious rethink if you're gonna continue"

by: Bezman

I found this game frustrating rather than fun.

I started by playing Pogger 1, got to level 3 after many, many attempts and then a bug in the game warped me to Pogger 2's first level.

In pogger 2, I couldn't work out how to defeat the robot. After quitting, I did read the instructions and play through again, but clicking just doesn't seem to do anything. I tried being close to the robot (so swords were touching him but not my body), clicking on him, clicking on pogger, clicking on the arena... but to no avail.

Anyways, this game just wasn't fun for me.

I do like the fact that you went for a few different game types. The story was ridiculous in a good way and made me smile.

However, there's faults with both graphics and mechanics imo.

Before submitting your games, as someone to read over or spell-check your own work. It's a small detail, but the details affect the playing experience.

The graphics could use a lot more work. Try taking more time on them. Try using the shape tool or line tool to make a maze rather than a brush. Try using the subselect tool (white arrow) to 'clean up' around shapes.

The whole game seemed to be more about memorising patterns than anything else. In Pogger, needing to stay away from mud and the massive hit target made the game frustrating. In pogger 2, though it was a lot more forgiving, it was still about memorising patterns - there was no problem solving, deduction or real-time skills in play.

In Pogger, we can lose a life, not notice and lose all 3 lives just while we continue holding a button, without the game pausing or telling us what killed us.

The game needs a serious rethink if you're gonna continue it.

"Decent Game"

by: Shanus

This was a very hard thing to judge, on one hand all the different styles of game play I found to be very good on the other, they weren't done to the best they could've been.

For starters the graphics were not great by any stretch of the imagination. I know you only really needed simple backgrounds and characters, but some shine and uniqueness is always good. Also there was a major concern of mine with the fact some times the colours seemed to blend into one another making it hard to see where the player was. Need drastic improvements.

The sound was alright, the songs actually suited the game, even at first I was a little pissed off at them, they grew on my over time. It would've been nice to see some more audio in other places aswell though. Just at events, like a subtle swinging of a sword sound, or even the classic chomping sound of pac-man would've been nice.

Now on to the game play, to be honest, you pretty much bunged every style of game you could into this, and where this would probably be a daunting task for most, you pulled it off, with a little less flare than what would be desired be still, you got the job done. I would like to commended you on the map "puzzle" especially, I found that quite hilarious.

Now, to summarize. I did like how you made the game out to be, it just needs to be polished, way way more polished. Alot of potential, and a great laugh. Good job
