I'm going to explain my take on the story and also how to win each minigame.
All cutscenes move your cursor in a circle motion like the animation shows to skip.
Game 1 - Use left and right motions to swim toward a large egg. Once you reach the edge of the egg, the rest is automatic.
Part 1 - The girl is born, starting he time in the "Coil" of life.
Game 2 - The cursor is like the end of a magnet that repels. First sort the colors together, then seperate them into three chunks.
Part 2 - Now she is a bit more grown up, and she was just raped. This was a very traumatizing experience that would haunt her for the rest of her life.
Game 3 - The goal is to reach the bottom. Move your cursor around the object like a rolling motion to make him move left and right. Obstacles will be in the way.
Part 3 - She is living her life trying to move past the rape incident, and slowly she is getting stronger.
Game 4 - Use your string to guide the falling objects and consume them. The swimming things will try to steal the objects but just eat 6-8 of them and you will be done.
Part 4 - She has seen people die, and I believe she is fatasizing about death. The story is no longer referring to "him" as the rapist, but him as "death".
Game 5 - You want to absorb the fetuses into your ovary. Hovering cursor over the organs to the very right and left control the spin, the colon thing in the bottom propels you forward, and the ovary in the middle will create a suction effect.
Part 5 - She is in a relationship now, and finally feels like she is moving past the incident, though the longing for "him" (death) lingered, for once in her life she forgot about him.
Game 6 - Shoot the other person with enough cupid arrows. Just try to steer towards him, watch the direction he turns when he goes to the edge of the screen, and try to match the way he's going. Eventually you should be right behind him pelting him with arrows.
Part 6 - Time passed, the relationship didn't go well. She had too many demons about the past, and she blamed herself about the relationship. She finally let someone in, but even that didn't work well. So she decided to end her life.
Game 7 - Not sure what the goal is, but I think it's to swim to the right. Your jellyfish will automatically turn downward if it's too high, and automatically turn upward if it's too low. Use a circular motion to steer. Not too much, or else you'll overspin. You can actually go super high if you balance it right.
Part 8 - She is committing suicide. She has already started it, and there's no way to stop now. She feels "him" in the room (death). She is crying and thinking of leaving life, scared of how she would be treated (in afterlife), scared of what she had done (suicide).
Part 8b - Her life is fading to it's last moments now, she feels death's hands on her, she was leaving life, completing her coil going back to the beginning (nothingness)...
The last line says "He pressed his cheek to hers he pressed his cheek"
i got to the very end, and i missed the last few lines. please, what are they?
Here's what I think about the story line
Seems like a lifestyle of an alien species as it shows a sperm of one going into what looks like an egg, then after separating cells, it shows what I think is the fetus in an egg, feeding on these bubbles. After you begin to swim, I'm guessing the alien species begin to be carnivorous, feeding on smaller creatures, possibly it's own species, and after you begin to fly, it could be a mating ritual as you insert these arrow shaped sperms into the male/female. At the last level, it has to be the female laying the eggs in the ocean to start the new life style of the alien life. I also think that the female dies because as it releases it's last egg, it simply loses it's energy to move and stops.
To be honest, this game really had moved me, with it's poetry and music, even though I had no idea what it was about, it had almost made me crying.
What's all the raving about?
This game was just a minor irritation. The story didn't engage me on any level and each stage was just figuring out a new annoying way to spin your mouse.
As people have said so many times before in reviews, the controls were a bit difficult to figure out and the last sentence of the game was hard to read, but it was so beautiful. I probably didn't get it fully, but I think I understood a little bit. Either way, the absolute poetic brilliance here was breathtaking.
There is no game. Trust me. DO NOT PLAY!
