I got up to the 5th stage... and stopped there... i will probly try again some time... truly amazing... a cannot begin to wonder the effort the effort this game would have took... you are a god...

wierd thing is, when this first came out, i couldnt get past the second level. now, i beat it in like 15 minutes.

I took what you say about keeping an open mind seriously... my goodness, that was the weirdest flash I have ever played. I understand the theme and the concept... but it's very hard to put into words.However, the game is amazing and inventive and revolutionary. However, stage 3 was a bit... frustrating, to say the least. Fantastic. Keep up the good work, dude!

Death coil, huh? This is brilliant. I like how the story is written with human characters, but acted out with these amoebic creatures. The essentials are the same, huh? I like the insights about assimilating pieces of others, growing to hate those pieces, and expelling them, and the euphemism for murder about "drawing others to him." The obscured final words on the last page are an especially clever touch. Unless you're one of these religious nuts, I think "From here there is nothing, like it was before" it a safe bet, although what that means for us, and whether it means anything at all, is hidden until we actually die.
For the most part, I think you succeeded in setting up interesting tasks which require no instruction to figure out - let the player explore the unknown for themselves. I only have one small criticism; some of the tasks are trivially easy and virtually complete themselves. I don't think this is a problem though; the way I see it, this is really a movie rather than a game, with interactivity added between the rails to draw the viewer in and make them feel personally involved with the story, like the classic text adventure Photopia.
Is it just me, or is the mating task easier if you alternately turn away from the other creature and let it hit you with love arrows, and then turn back and hit it? Whenever I "came on too strong", the other creature always seemed to get away. Of course, I could read all sorts of other things into the tasks, no doubt each more Rorschach than the last: separating out your different, intermingled motivations to better understand them, "reaching the bottom" of your psyche and getting your footing while everyone else is trying to socialize you and "hold you up", competing with others for limited opportunities, trying to control your life when you don't know the rules or operating procedures, etc.
The implementation is a deft union of technical expertise and artistry. What's that, verlet particle physics for those swarming cells? Was it the same engine for that long, segmented tentacle? The visual theme and music are at once grotesque and scary, but also beautiful and strangely comforting. You've created an emotionally-captivating atmosphere, a rare achievement, and in my opinion, the holy grail of flash art. My hat is off to you guys. I can only aspire to this level of inspiration.
