Bounce, is an arcade-style action game in which players have to activate all orange balls in play by knocking into them. Your means of control is a grappling hook, and a few different power-ups to aid you. Avoid the walls.

The game was originally created for the 4th JayisGames.com Game Design Competition (the theme was "Ball Physics"), and released unfinished due to the competition deadline. Since then, the game has been heavily updated to the point where I myself was satisfied with the result. Kongregate.com expressed interest in sponsoring it, and soon a deal was accepted and the game was re-releasesed in it's current state. To the contrary of comments from JiG users, the game has been recieved very well and won the weekly 3rd place at Kongregate (competing against hugely anticipated games such as Fancy Pants 2 and Storm Winds 1.5).

I'm extremely proud to call this my first game, and I hope you enjoy playing it!

GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
Aim with the mouse, click once to shoot grappling hook, and press again to reset/remove the hook. Hook onto balls to gain momentum and manoeuvre around the playing field by springing from ball to ball. Players will be awarded points by activating all balls on the field as quickly as possible (the faster, the more points will be awarded). Lives are lost by hitting the boundary walls or being sucked into a black hole.

"Very cool"

I liked it. It was very original and well done. Though it was a bit difficult for me to get used to how to control it. Overall great work!

Yeah, it's certainly not easy to begin playing... That's why my next game is based less on skill, as I was afraid many people would dislike the game simply for being too difficult.

Great game! im sure you had take time for it as it is your first game, but can't you put that endurance game in to? i loved it :)

Thank you. Since two people have now asked, I suppose I will consider adding it as a 'bonus mode' (ie. after reaching +1000 on hard, you unlock this mode). I'll tyhink about it...

Oh, and this game was pretty much made in just 2 weeks total; though, I've been learning how to code for almost 1 year.

Thanks!.. Yeah, global high scores would be good, but unfortunately I don't have the PHP knowledge to do such a thing. If you really want to be competitive, head over to Kongregate (http://www.kongregate.com/games/Viza /bounce) which supports world-wide highscores. ;)

"pretty good"

IDK why but i like some sort of freestyle or stress reliever things, were theres no objective or lives to worry about, maybe you should add one

I know what you mean, in a way. Two days before this was initially released to the jayisgames competition, I drastically changed the games gameplay by making the objective to activate the balls and deliberately knock into them (what you see now). Previously I had the gameplay set up as an endurance game, so more balls will spawn over time (to make it more difficult) and the aim was to stay alive for as long as possible (by not bouncing into walls or blackholes).

I changed it because I felt that it would become boring and too slow for the average 'mini-game' player. I don't regret this decision, but I suppose it could've been nice as a bonus game mode rewarded to players that achieve a certain score. I'll think about it, thanks. :)
