Boulevard of Broken Songs
"I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known...." A quote I'm sure many of us can relate to. Here we present to you the result of a mixture of blood, sweat, and tears. Much hard work and many long hours from out talented authors have culminated into what will be your viewing pleasure. So please, sit back, relax, and enjoy our presentation of Boulevard of Broken Songs.

Disclaimer
This collab is not what many Newgrounds viewers have come to expect from the portal. Believe it or not, it's not a 99% carnage with a 1% storyline type movie. Please respect that this production was meant to have a mature and serious theme, not as many of you consider to be "emo."

A note from collab lead, Temariix
The original start date of this collab was probably about two years ago, the time taken mainly due to computer issues, miscommunication, and a bit of laziness on my part. Many of our authors have since improved from their time of submitting their parts to the time of the final collab submission. For many, this was their first flash. It has been a joy for me to see them all progress as far as they have. Thank you all for participating. It has ben my pleasure to have you on the team.

Newgrounds wtf

I don't know, newgrounds can be way too predictable sometimes... I swear, I saw this flash when it was under judgement and I thought "man.. this is exactly the kind of stuff that goes to the frontpage (besides the really good stuff duh) and I don't believe it's really worth it" -said and done-. I'm not bitching or calling you emos... I mean it kind of felt like it, but I don't like how anything that's a bit sad and sentimental lately is called emo. It had some really nice high quality stuff, but in general I failed to see the depth ,originality... and yes ,quality in this.

The music mix was really well done, and I liked alot how it was synchronized with the movie. The unity of the themes works well too, and the general tone is right.. But it was just kind of poor in quality and creativity .(guy cutting himself, guy with rose, guy walking crying, guy being taken by an angel) you know what I mean, its ok to see ONE of this things in an animation, but not ALL. I do want to tell the artists in this collab, if it's trully your first animation, you're doing good and as you mature as flash animators you can be great. And maybe newgrounds took this up to support new artists, but if that is the case, there are alot of other really good artists in more mature stages ,that I know would produce much more out of some exposure.

I know it was too long... but it's been bulked up and I finally put it out there.
Keep it up.. I don't like it now, but I can see that you can produce some good stuff in the future

Not emo? Big Storyline?

You say there's a great storyline, and that it's not emo. You have to be aware, though, of many scenes in this collab being stereotypical emo scenes. Moreover, the scenes have no connection the viewer can grasp in the first view. If there's such a great storyline behind it, then please tell me. I'm ready to believe your work is not emo, but it certainly looks so.

ZOMG!!!

I had to make an account specifically for the video. Everyone's take on the author making this mash-up is wrong. The mash-up is titled Boulevard of Broken songs by Party Ben. Google him to find his site, since i don't think i can link it.
Like I said, decent flash, I just wanted to give credit where credit is do on the song. Artists featured in the song are Greenday - Boulevard of broken dreams, Oasis - Wonderwall, Travis - Sunday, and Aerosmith at the end, if it's there. addmitedly i didn't watch the end. Also Breaking Benjamin - Rain for the opening screen. Thankyou and have a good day.

Uhhhh...okay I guess

but just a little too emo for my taste, sorry, ( =(,) i did like how you blended the songs in a way that kept key parts of each still going, very pro.
