I do agree that bipartisanship is hurting this country, but really there's no other outlet for differentiating political ideologies. If we had a uni partisan government, it would be the same as a unicameral legislation, which would mean ONE mind-set, and ONE policy, ONE dictum.

So, basically, bipartisanship is quite necessary to maintain healthy democracy in legislation.
