Submission to the MaxGames contest. Yeah... I am getting it in just under the wire.

Help 3 dinosaurs - yours to control via the powers of time and space warping mind-control - not really, but it sounded more interesting...

Main controls are arrow keys to control movement and activate abilities and mouse to switch between dinos.

A really good old school puzzle. You could make 1,2 &3 hot keys for the different dinos however.

Keep up the good work.

Don't know why I didn't do something like that... you're absolutely right. Maybe I'll stick up and edited version... not sure how that works with the contest...

Anyway... thanks for the review!

Very nice.

Someone might take off points for the lackluster graphics, but it was very nice. The abilities that each dino had were pretty creative. You should probably give Bruno a jump of some sorts, though.

smokinjoeevil responds:

Yeah, the graphics I know are a bit plain. Especially the majority of the platforms you walk on. I did try to put a bit more effort into the area backgrounds... but the only one I really ended up liking the results of is the tarpit back-drop.

Also, as far as Bruno being able to jump... I am somewhat doubtful that a multi-ton creature like a brachiosaur had that particular ability back in the day. Of course... Bruno could actually fly with one of the cheats that can be found in the game... so I guess I shouldn't be bringing up the realm of possibility on that one...
Thanks for the review.

Great game, but man... i was so close to the end when i decided to make bruno go fly up, to another level, from which he couldn't come down from, then i got max to go back and jump over a wall (which came back coz i used the redo cheat) by jumping on that green ones head by using the fruit cheat, but then he couldn't get back, so i couldn't complete the game, crime really dosen't pay.

smokinjoeevil responds:

The "redo" cheat is actually especially nasty. It can get you in whole messes of trouble... and can force you to use other cheats to try and work yourself out of them. I though about eliminating them, but they add a bit of fun to the game. There is actually one undocumented one I threw in there for fun. Type "missile" into the cheat box and activate it when you're in a room with either one of the spear-chuckers, or sling-shot guys, or a simple caveman.

good except a few things

A great lost vikings like game. I like it, but I miss a few feature: the ability to save, and load. And I found a bug: when you get on the 1st vulcano level, someone falls in the pit, it is lost, becouse it respawns just above the pit again.

smokinjoeevil responds:

Thanks for the review, and mention of the bug. I'll have to fix that. I don't know how many of those little nuances I already tracked down and squashed. Glad you liked it.

Good idea!

I realy like the idea of three characters and how they have different abilities. The graphics were decent. The whole game felt a little stiff and the music was horrible.

But it was a realy good idea and it was good shot!

Good going! Keep'em comin ;)

Heh... with the music I was going for something somewhat light-hearted, with tribal-type drums and melody... but I am definitelyl not a pro at creating tunes... I'll be the first to admit that.

I do agree that the game is somewhat "stiff". It has to do with the more analog control over pushing things and movement. It isn't tile-based, so the range of movement and interaction with objects is somewhat clunky and forces you to learn the ins and outs before you can maneuver fairly deftly. I have to admit that some things aren't as straight-forward to accomplish as they could be.

Thanks for the review, and I'm glad your overall impression was positive.
