the fury of sandbag:intro

Okay, a lot of people are saying that this series is completely random. I actually have a storyboard so I whipped together an intro. It's a rather mysterious intro to. You don't have to understand it but it will make a lot more sense if you watch the other two, "The Fury of Sandbags" Also, The music actually is supposed to play throughout the entire movie but for some reason, maybe a lag, it doesn't. I don't think it's a lag because this ,movie is barely 1,000 frames and a lot of the frames are text. Trying watching the other two before reviewing/voting this, else it really won't make a lot of sense. So enough with that, enjoy the movie!

(Note: This and episode 1 were supposed to be watched together, that's why episode one starts with a battle.)

Okay

Huh? Good, but Shadow goes at the same speed as if it would slowly walk, but with his running sprites... it looks horrible. Oh, and there is no preloader...

not bad but not good

i think you should make them NOT repeat and it was short and i mean shadow just turned around and sandbag went flying. keep trying though

Meh...

this is bad, I'm sorry... But it is... I have better fluidic motion in my youtube movies (under teh name FadingNight) tahn you do... but, I use stop motion animation with my sprites (making each frame a picture that are then put together in a movie) Just look at them, you will see.

You need to work on getting more frames per second. YOu may have 24 FPS, but you dont seem to be using them... it seems mroe like 1 frame per second... YOu need to have him moving each time a sprite is put and only move once per sprite. Moving several spaces in one sprite is going to make it seem like walking (which will look horrible with running sprites)

well, I looked at your videos and... lets just say I won't be going back there again... but It might just have been the YouTube quality.

Keep on trying

This would really be something great if only is had small details. Like sounds, a little better drawn sprites, and when the character is talking put what they are saying on the bottom of the flash. Still this is good, you worked hard on it, and keep it up! :]

mouse63 responds:

Thanks for the review.

I actually shad lots of sound effects but something happened when I put it on newgrounds. When I watch the file not on Newgrounds, It actually has the sound effects and the music playing the whole time.

Heres Some Constructive Criticism...

Not to be mean or anything but that really sucked...

1.The spritez were poorly animated and the BG was really blurry.
2. Some spritez were traced better than othaz.(E.G. Shadow running)
3.It was too slow paced. (Slow frame rate, slow movement)
4.What did Shadow do while fighting Sandbag? He ran into him, turned around(in a very poorly and unanimated way) and then just growled.

Synopsis: You have alot to improve on. If you need help PM me or watch some other sprite filmz. My first will be out by Christmas since itz a Christmas special.
You have a good idea just not the animation skillz. Keep trying.

Thanks for the reveiw.

I'm not sure why some sprites were blurier then others but I don't think the frame rate is that slow. The frame rate I use is 24 fps, the usaual for sprite movies. You are defenitly right about the part when he turned around, it wasn't supposed to happen. As I said in my author comment, it's supposed to be with episode one, but something happened with the audio when I tried connecting them that I couldn't fix. Also, if i'm going to ask for your help I have to see your video first, and also, I have seen tons of sprite movies. Thanks anyways,

Mouse63.
