This is an adaptation of the ALIENS board game made by Leading Edge Games into Flash.

It is a hard game, but there are only 3 missions. Enjoy the difficulty.

TIPS:
Flamer kills don't have acid spray. Use them on aliens up close, but when the alien is on a marine, it's too late for flamers. Use melee (fist icon) to try to throw the alien off.

Pistols are almost useless. These marines should just move or help melee an alien off one of his buddies.

Grenades kill aliens 1 square away from the blast square, but injure marines up to 6 squares away. Plus, there is a chance the grenade will miss the target square by one, so plan carefully if you want to use grenades.

NOTE: It was designed for 1024x786, so I'm sorry if it's hard to make out some details in 800x600.

Fixed many bugs.
Added ammo restrictions.
Added the ability to flame the ground.
Added the Apone rule into the Reactor mission.
Improved the Alien AI.
Added a score system (Thanks to DMC for the idea).
Added a brightness control.
Fit the preloader music in.

Fixed some bugs.
Added some features to help first time players.
Mission summary now tracks total and individual kills, just for fun.

11/06 - uploaded a new version.
Fixed a sound bug.
Juggled the sound to include music at the menu.
Added an indicator that an alien target has a marine.

Ultimate badass.

I love it. Despite the difficulty curve like running into a brick wall, and the fixed squad order, it was awesome. Especially the little things, like seeing weapons dropped on the ground or an incapacitated Marine slung over your shoulder. And the gameplay is unpredictable, too -- three times out of five I'll be thinking I can beat Reactor easily with just one or two WIAs, and then a bunch of aliens show up and everything changes.

Have you gotten many PMs asking for more scenarios?

excelent version

only thing it lacks is the feeling of a group of people round a table, cd playing lights low and shit im out of ammo ......

A COOL THING TO ADD WOULD BE IF AT THE THIRD MISION THE MARINS YOU CAN SAVE WOULD BE ACTIVE AND ARMED
AND I`M NO EXPERT BUT THE ADDONS MADE SEEM TO MAKE ALIENS SPAUN ON MARINES MOR OFTHEN

Awesome game, but I can't get full screen to work which is hard on the eyes.

Great game! Far better than the original board game. I couldn't stop playing it! I discovered a glitch, though. I've only seen this on the second level so don't know if it will happen on the others or not, but after the flame unit has run out of ammo it is still possible to flame the floor to hold off the aliens. The counter reads zero, but it can still be done. And then after that the ammo counter perpetually reads "01". Still a great game though.

Also, have you considered creating a 4th level like in the board game where a character can battle the alien queen with the loader? Might be difficult in a flash game. Maybe the loader would be limited to moving one square per turn, but players could still perform actions equal to their usual score (meaning 3 or 2 actions). They could move, defend with the loading claws, pummel with the loading claws, grab, or use the blowtorch, battering the queen until she's weak enough to be picked up and flung into the airlock. But the queen can attack with her bite, her hands, or spear with her tail. It would be a matter of who gets damaged enough first. The loader or the queen. Just a thought.
