This is an adaptation of the ALIENS board game made by Leading Edge Games into Flash.

It is a hard game, but there are only 3 missions. Enjoy the difficulty.

Good luck.

TIPS:
Flamer kills don't have acid spray. Use them on aliens up close, but when the alien is on a marine, it's too late for flamers. Use melee (fist icon) to try to throw the alien off.

Pistols are almost useless. These marines should just move or help melee an alien off one of his buddies.

Grenades kill aliens 1 square away from the blast square, but injure marines up to 6 squares away. Plus, there is a chance the grenade will miss the target square by one, so plan carefully if you want to use grenades.

NOTE: It was designed for 1024x786, so I'm sorry if it's hard to make out some details in 800x600.

excellent yet a tad too hard

Dude,

As I said in my PM, this is an excellent and faithful reproduction. My only beef with the game is that it's a tad too hard. I mean, the reactor level - ok it's just outside of an alien hive, but to actually have aliens spwan onto the board right next to or literally on the marines makes it damn near impossible to make it halfwayt across the board. In front, behind, to the sides - no worries. However, right next to or on top of makes it pointless to attempt to spread your men out.

Overall despite the difficulty I give this an 8 - a great time killer and the movie-type music definetly adds to the mood of the game. Well done man.

*sigh* now if only I could find something like this for download.....

Its good.

But it needs a lot of work.

However, for a first time flash, and for an attempt at reviving a board game I think this is a great start. Keep improving it and it will go far.

Average. But it still has VERY fun gameplay!

The game is hard. VERY hard. OPERATIONS is my favorite. I mean, yes it is hard as freaking hell, and it kinda doesn't make sense. Like, for example, in the movie, when Carter Burke sealed off the door and trapped he marines, Ellen Ripley and Newt were already IN the hallway. But the overall gameplay, sharpshooting and shit, was pretty fun.
This game is very fun and all, but there are some flaws. Like, in THE REACTOR, the aliens jump on me directly like EVERY FREAKING TIME. I understand it is a very complex rule that can make the game more fun, but, in the movie (sorry, I just feel like comparisons need to be made), Al Apone was the ONLY marine to have an alien drop down on him on him. The ONLY one. Also, I don't think I remember the Aliens dropping into the vents in OPERATIONS. They just broke open the door a lot faster, and Newt knew every direction.
Y'know, Dwayne Hicks was also still alive in RESCUE NEWT: why wasn't he in there? I know he wasn't there in the movie, but still, why not change a few things?
I like this game A LOT,but it could still be improved. Why not just upgrade it a little, and we'll call it good, hm?
I give you 4 R.
