** UPDATE (02/01/08): Yay! Age of War finished first in the maxgames contest! You can check all the rankings there:

To thank you guys, I fixed some bugs:
The 3rd special is longer, and wont stay forever if you die usign it
The final turret should no more reach the ennemy base
The special wont reload when paused
I reduced the damage of the double turrets a little

Thats it for now. Ill release some information on my next game soon on my website:
**YEAHHH thanks for the monthly voting!!! Wooot i love you all!

press space to pause the game

*Added difficulty choice when you start the game
*I think I fixed the invicible unit bug, sorry for the inconvenient

Take control of 16 different units and 15 different turrets to defend your base and destroy your ennemy.
In this game, you start at the cavern men's age, then evolve! There is a total of 5 ages, each with its units and turrets. I hope you have fun with this game! Sooo many hours of hard work.

Thanks to CyprusX who made many units to help me to make it in time for the contest. You rock man!

bring us more but make it bigger

you should keep on making this game but in doing so edit it like making it more interactive instead of just clicking you pick specific spots for your troops to attack from. you should also add the choice to buy new types of soldier for each era like instead of dino rider you could buy a teradactle rider that only long range weapons can hit or a fire cave man who is on fire and runs past enemy units starting them on fire harming them slowly overtime. you should also add multiplayer because this game would be great for that. Add a population to your base that increases and decreases every turn depending on how your doing (this is also suggesting that there will be breaks in war over periods of time on both sides so they can manage their civilization.

Wonderful, and an idea

everyone is saying "oh make a sequel!" but with no ideas for it. you cant really make a sequel much better than this though.

i do have an idea. you wrote: "In this game, you start at the cavern men's age, then evolve!" and that made me think:

if you kinda of remade this game, but instead of people, it could start with animals. you could start as like cells or something, then evolve to a fish, then amphibians, then reptiles, then birds etc etc etc all the way to monkeys, then humans, and humans could be the first age in this game, then just put this game into it, and maybe think of a possible age after this one. it would make the game a lot longer, add many more ages and it would make the game much more fun i think, and would be a lot more work for you lol. just throwing out ideas. I'm a little hyped up on spore right now, i can't wait for it to come out thats probably why that idea came to mind, but it would be cool.

other idea.

maybe you could do what i said earlier but without humans, and whenever a new age comes to evolve, you could choose one of two paths to evolve to. then you and the CPU could be doing different things, and you could play the game multiple times and it would be different every time.

great game though, i most deff wanna see another game made in this style again. that would be quite wonderful.

Great Game

Great game and fun to play, but there were a few things that I noticed that didn't seem to work quite right.

First, the final turret still does hit the enemy base every so often, but only in the situation when there's turrets shooting at a unit in range, and there isn't another enemy unit between that unit and the base to absorb the remaining shots, which end up hitting the enemy base.

Second, also not sure if this is intentional, but the 3rd special not only effects your units, but it also effects enemy units that are created while the special is going.

Other than those 2 things, great game.
