EDIT: Thanks for 5th...again

Hi everyone! Long time since I submitted anything.

This is a "remake" if you will of my previous submission, The Pick of Destiny. After I got numerous reviews on that one requesting Tenacious D songs, I went ahead and made it. It was no easy thing though. I used 7 FULL Tenacious D songs. That means that the 5 minute songs are not cut to be shorter. That explains the file size.

Anyways here is a small lsit of the changes and upgrades from the last one:

- New engine
- You now hold down a key when the beat asks it.
- double beats
- Faster arrows (which means it's harder)
- Autosave function, so now if you unlock the secrets, you don't have to play all over again to get them.
- in-game replay button
- Secrets have been drastically improoved. I'm sure you guys will like them
- 1 new secret pick!

It took me about a month to make this, I have no idea why it took that long. I think it's much superior to it's predecessor. Well, that's about it. Enjoy the game, friends!

i love it ...but

i love these types of games and i loved the original versian of this game but a few things i noticed about the new one was not 100% sure but some of the notes seemed out of sync a bit and that was quite anoying
2 when there is a quick double note and its played on the same key eg the next 2 notes are -> -> you hit the first note fine and it gives you a late for the second one at the same time when you have only pressed the key once
3the to early and to late are really anoying because you lose your combo i still cant get above 20 combo i think if there is a sync problem that might be why hehe or mabey im just shit at it
4 it seemed a little to repetitive in the sense of you were playing the same beat for ages

and now that im done bitchin the things i thought where awesom were
1 hello its tenacious d what more needs to be said
2 i think the fact that it has a storyline really makes it stand out from all the other ddr clones
3i thought there was a few songs that didnt seem to fit in with the them a little like car chase city but the rest were rockin
4 i think you are really gifted n making these games and so you get a 5/5 and a 10/10 woooo

if you are going to make a pick of destiny 3 i have a few ideas that you might be interested in so contact me if you do :)

LilDwarf responds:

Thanks for the commentary. Iwas aware of those mishappenings, but I couldn't find a way to fix them :P As for the Too Late and stuff, without it, the game would have been too easy. I managed combos of over 50, so it's just a matter of how good you are.

I don't think I'll be making another one. I didn't have much "fun" doing this one hahaha and rythm games in general are too tedious Imo. Thanks for the review!

I love it.

Especially since you used actually Tenacious D songs. And they all matched their levels perfectly. 5/5 10/10.

LilDwarf responds:

Awesome thanks.

Arrite man gj making this. I still like Super Crazy Guitar Maniac 2 better but I guess thats just something personal.
The game was great, good steps and awesome ass songs. But no great game is without it's flaws. For one thing I sorta thought the timing for the steps was annoying at times, seeing how it sometimes says too late next to a great on a double step. Another thing was that some songs were a bit long, but it only ticked me off because I had to use the bathroom in the middle of one :P
Overall great job making this game, if you're making a sequel, good luck on that.

LilDwarf responds:

Yeah there were some small details that I couldn't fix but it's nothing to die for. The songs may be a bit long, but it's for the best enjoyment...I'm sure most people liked that I used full songs. I laughed when you had to use the bathroom. Happens all the time :] Thanks for the review.
