* For all of the frustrated ones: there's a video walkthrough thread at We Create Stuff > Portal: TFV's forum, and some community help. Good luck :)

We started working on this project a couple of months ago, and now, it is finally done. Lately we've been working on this project none stop, acknowledging if we release it after the real Portal - we fail, and our test will be terminated ( ;). So yes, the last piece of code of this game was programed just a couple of minutes ago. Don't worry - those minutes were on bugs!

Portal: The Flash Version includes over 40 challenging, portals thinking levels, which features almost every feature the real game does, in 2d - energy balls, cubes, turrets and even the famous crusher from the trailer. The game also includes a console to mess around with after finishing the game, or just being frustrated by thinking with portals (Commands are posted in our forums)

portal.wecreatestuff.com

Controls:
Left mouse button - launch a portal.
A W D - movement
Q - launch a blue portal.
E - launch a yellow portal.
R - Close both portals.
F - pick up an object.
~ - open up console (enable through the options)
O - quick quality adjust.
Esc/P - pause game.

Version history:

Note:
The game really is heavy on levels 30 and up. We did our best to optimize it, but if you still have a low frame rate simply change your quality and effect settings.

If you find any bugs, please report.

Cool!

It's harder than the actual game in my opinion

2D or 3D, that is the question

Pretty nifty little game you have here, Portals was a great idea and this game is just as cool with the whole 2D aspect. Fun game overall, great work!

pretty cool

Pretty much what I expected from this. I played through to level 37, and to be honest I could have gotten further but it got too annoying to get all the timing right, not to mention the fact that the levels got so long towards the end that dying and having to start them from scratch made me cry :'(.

It was fun though. I liked having to think each level through and come up with some kind of strategy. Most games brought out nowadays are mindless; I miss games that require actual thought.

But at the same time this game lacked something. Character I guess. It seemed pretty empty. Although that's a very small part of it that it barely dents the game overall.

5/5, 9/10. Good show sir.

its gets boring

it slightly fails at keeping your attention and remember to jump from you highest point into an infinite portal or you wont jump high enough,

Well... I don't know.

Oh waut. Yes I do. Friend cube is my friend.

Deathcomesx is not anyone's (and he needs to read your author comments).

I had so much fun with this game, it is unreal. A gauntlet is like a one man tournament, right? An unreal tourney for myself.

I ate up everything. From the bad guys to the good... cubes. All done rather well. Just awesome for a sidescrolling 2d/5d platformer. Yay. Just... yay.
