Controls: Cursor keys to move Hector, space brings up the options.

Phantom Mansion: The Red Chamber has you controlling Hector the Spectre Detector through the first chamber of the Mansion. Hector must make his way through 22 levels filled with devilishly good puzzles using crates, switches and keys to retrieve all the skulls from the chamber, but he must also avoid collapsing floors, zombies, skeletons, curses and the void. Phantom Mansion: The Red Chamber is the first of the Phantom Mansion games, with 7 more parts to come!

Great start!

Where it all started. The Phantom Mansion series is one of my favorite Newgrounds Puzzle series, especially because it reminds me of old-school games like Kickle Cubicle and The Adventures of Lolo (NES puzzle classics). The controls are smooth, and the puzzles are sometimes tricky, but never frustratingly difficult. The only real complaint I have about this installment is that a lot of the levels feel like game mechanics tutorials, and it seems that very few of the levels stand on their own outside of this. That being said, I understand that it's the first part of a very long game series, and so having a bunch of "getting used to the game" levels is to be expected, and it was still amazingly fun to play.

Great first!

Would have rated this higher, but the first one I tried (and beat) was the blue, and your puzzles improved over time (ha?) Can't wait for the next one!

A very nice and interesting puzzle game, I believe it keeps brains working a lot.
