use the arrows to move your player. pick up balls with spacebar and then throw with spacebar. Try to knock your opponent out. Win by 2 rounds to proceed through the levels. This is based on a game I played once in the arcades a long time ago. Feel free to report any bugs or give suggestions, I'll tweak the game this week to make it better.
I plan on getting music loops for the start of rounds and for winning/losing to make it feel more arcadey.
I've only spent about 24 hrs on this game so far. My time was cut short because of the AFL grand final on the weekend, plus I had the deadline for the gamestudios.com competition. keep checking back for updates :)

that was just like this one. it had all these animals you could pick to play as, from a penguin to a bat... but the game play was identical.
You've discovered my secret :) I remember playing it in an arcade once. I think I'll be adding more to this during the week to tighten it up.

I think something should be done witht he music Maybe you'd like to recheck the score keeper thing. I'm sure I won at least two more times than i actually did.
Also, I remember in dodge ball at school how if we caught the ball, it didn't count against us... and we could use the whole court. Just food for though.
But I liked it. I hope you tune this game up because i think it has some pretty good potential.
thanks a bunch :) yeah, I'm rethinking the music. It was one of those 2 in the morning type decisions. I just noticed that the score sometimes lets you through a round early, I'll be fixing that now. I guess I concentrated on the "dodge" part of the game :) I'm not sure catching the ball would work in this particular game. I'm also thinking of adding power-ups that appear on the table randomly that could be linked into a player health bar. thanks for the review :)
