"My story?"
date: October 7, 2007
First off, where's the ending? I thought you would have used your head and come up with an ending for it. Either that, or wait for me to write another part of the story so you could go and add it in. Yet the flash ends in nachos, that must be something.... *coughs*
The designs weren't what I expected it to be. The TV in Shott's room in the movie gave secrets away before you're supposed to know them, and if I hadn't have stopped you, the painting in the first scene would have gave something else away, too. I also thought that using sprites as characters was unoriginal, like Aposke's review, but what I really didn't get was why you used pacman sprites for Toasty and Nick.
The movie really ends in a cliffhanger. What happens to Shott and Brett, or Nick and Toasty? What about Gamecubicle, TS36, Aposke, Why?, Noodlez, Sparkz, and the rest...?
The sound doesn't exactly go with the movie, either. You could have dimmed the music when you got to a new song, instead of just a sudden and abrupt change.
The layout.... Well, let's just say it doesn't work out. The only mode that works is the play mode, both the Shott and Aposke modes just didn't work, and if they were supposed to, we don't know how. Also, the scene selection is scripted wrong; it takes you to the very beginning of the flash, instead of the parts it should have taken you to.
I have to say though, I would have never thought about the genetics part; it's good. If given the chance to finish my story (www.gamecubicle.net was hacked and I lost the first few parts, to those to care), I might have added that in, but the problem with that part is what Toasty said about "The fate of the internet forums resting in Shott's hands..." or something like that. That makes it sound like Xgen is selfish and only want them to themselves for his genes, and it also gives the same impression on Gamecubicle and on Toasty, and on just about every other person in the world who runs a forum and doesn't want it to die. The problem about that is that it is implied in the movie that I am a member of almost every forum on the internet. That's not even possible.
I'm terribly sorry for having to write such a negative review after I pestered you about making this, but I wrote a serious review. (If you're not steaming mad after reading this, pm me on Gc.net and I'll finish the story)
