This new movie tells the story of an adventure in a wonderful forest land...
Warning: the movie contains objectionable scenes!
You have a very interesting little film here. This is the kind of dark, morbid stuff I've been chasing my whole life. See, I'm not easily scared, but this... well, I'm going to have nightmares tonight and all I can say is... thanks! I love to be scared, its such a rare treat.
What makes this film more than a little disturbing is not so much the objectionable content as it is the visual design and atmosphere of this little flick.
Atmosphere is key, and this is one of the most unique but thickly layered atmospheres I've encountered in awhile. The art design is unique and oddly enough reminds me of my own, often relying on shadows and shapes blending into new ones. That and the sound design. The music was chilling and you did a wonderful job synching it with the picture, and the lack of sound effects only added to the mood. The lack of sound effects strangely made it feel more organic and less forced, and it really made you feel as though you were out of breath.
The only reason I'm knocking one point off is I never really deal with rape very well, but you weren't glorifying it and at least it was shown briefly; plus I can't really complain that you had content like that in there, there was plenty of fair warning.
Regardless, I found this fascinating. I haven't seen the other two, but I might just check them out. This was definitely worth my while.
For me, this film evokes some of the more primal visions I pictured in some of the later Carlos Castaneda narratives. But while don Juan's cabal had a purpose for every action they took, there seemed to be no rational motive for the horrors in this film, other than to slake an appetite for distructive madness.
holy mesmerizing creepy awesomness
that is the best flash movie i've seen on NG so far
animation= smoother than silk
music= just as well done as in the first Silent Hill
the story= just plain works
Provocative, equally direct and subtle
This is a great piece of art. You can simply stay mesmerized at what is happening and how it is happening, diving into the story/dream itself. This is exactly what I experienced the first time I watched it. I'll probably watch the movie a second time. I find it too well made, with too much thought put into it for it to not have a subtle meaning, a meaning mostly entitled to the person who witnesses rather than to the author himself.
Ok, 5/5 on this one, the other instances of the series are probably getting the same judgement.
It may sound ignorant to say I dont understand this, I will attempt to, But the fact that its cool animation and music I think its great. If you dislike leave opinion first...
