I've always wanted to do a zombie defence game, kinda a dream of mine, but actionscript was never really my thing. Thankfully Bernd Ameel stepped in and we did this project well enough to get what is my very first sponsorship on a game. Very proud to meet the high standards of TurboGames, and I believe we have something here that should keep many people looking for a solid zombie shooting game entertained for a while.

Those of you who wanted more variety in gameplay ( like different weapons ) , mabey you should go play Last Stand or something. Let it be known, the purpose of this game is to capture the feel of defending yourself against impossible odds. That means you have the barest of weapons and defences at your desposal. So no, there is no mowing down hoardes of undead with chain-guns. That would be too easy.

Took about 3-4 months of hard work to complete, so naturally, any comments you post will be read and eventually replied to, just give us time. Also, if we recieve any of those retarded chain-letters in reviews, rest assured I will personally come to your house and murder you. Seriously, those things are gay as hell.

"Entertaining, But Limited"

date: November 1, 2009

Positives:

Simplistic play style, that still seems to be intuitive and addictive

Enemies were varied enough that I can add this little tidbit to Positives

Realistic enough to get by

Art was well done on the menu, ending screen, and Upgrades Menu

Reasonably well balanced

Neutral:

The rifle occaissonally got old, but the single weapon play style help with the simplicity

A counter of the various barricades' health should be added, and prices for repairing adjusted accordingly

After a while, the only thing you're doing in the Upgrades Menu is repairing your barricades. More upgrades and more levels of each barricade should be added for the more hardcore among us. This would go in Negatives, but, again, it speaks to the game's simplicity to have so few upgrades and levels thereof

Negatives:

I often wondered why you chose to waste so much space with the barricades. The Iron Fence takes up way too much space, and another barricade could've easily been fit in the distance between it and the barn door

I'm not sure about your priorites when it comes to barricades. In my mind, landmines cost way more than a simple barbwire fence (I understand why they are place where they are, however), and sandbages being stronger than an iron fence?

The lack of Bosses, even in a game with simplistic play in mind, is a turn-off, especially in the later levels

"A lot better than I expected"

date: October 30, 2009

This was a lot better than I expected it would be. The graphics are nowhere near as good as other similar games like The Last Stand, but the extremely addictive gameplay more than makes up for it. This simple game kept me occupied well over half an hour. I survived 21 nights and killed 2446 zombies :). Although there are a few flaws that you should keep in mind if you make a second one: the clicking on the bullet pile for loading was really tedious and really made my hand cramp up a lot. It should be changed to the space bar or something. Second of all, there should be more upgrades, because by the time I finally died, I had thousands of dollars sitting in the bank with nothing to spend them on other than repairing. Other than these few flaws along with the mediocre graphics, this game deserves a really high score.

"Best Zombie Defense Game I've Played!"

date: October 22, 2009

Wow, I did not expect this game to be this good! It does capture the experience of defending yourself against zombies (I guess, I never actually defended myself against a zombie in real life!) and the clever reload system added a bit of realism AND difficulty. Yes, you would actually have to pick up your bullets before you load them! And it has one thing that other games of the like lack (such as Last Stand and All Hallow's Eve) is practically pin-point accuracy! You point somewhere, and you shoot at your target. No questions asked. Also getting a group of zombies together and firing one round results in a mass of brain spray! Doesn't get more effective than that! The zombies are reasonably paced and so is the difficulty. I love the background atmospheric noise, and zombie dogs just rule!

Best Zombie Defense Game I've played hands down!

"Great, REALISTIC game."

date: October 18, 2009

An extremely enjoyable game. the enemies could be more varied, but the upgrades and barricades were superb. I enjoy the fact that you only have the one rifle, as well as how you reload, as it is realistic to the rifle, and the situation. As far as people complaining how easy it is with a fully upped rifle: ya, play just a little longer, because while it is easy for a while, more come EVERY night, and i get reduced down to my boards more often than not after level 25
