UPDATE: I changed a few things for the facebook version (partly to make it more casual gamer friendly) and it seemed silly not to bring those changes over here too, so I did. If you spot any bugs I'd really appreciate a PM. Thanks for all the reviews/messages/emails too!

So You Think You Can Rock?

Hell yes this a great display of a "guitar hero" genre. I rated it 10/10 because it was challenging it had great music, GREAT music, and overall very addictive and fun to play. I'm still playing it. Great job. Thumbs up.

I've been playing this game for like a week straight, staying up till 5am then going to work, your a bastard for making me get 4 hours sleep, but your a genius for making such a sweet game.

Rock out loud

Awesome game, best I've seen in the guitar hero genre. Only problem is when the game lags and causes you to miss an arrow, kindof frustrating when you are trying to get perfects to unlock the next guitar. It should have a quality option to select low quality to prevent lag. Other than that, it's sweet.

Another one from Shinki.

I played this game after playing SC guitar maniac DX, so I was a bit shocked to see some of the changes you've made.

The guitar choice is new, the 2 lines for stuff is new, the d key is new, the animation for rankings is new, the sheer number of songs is new, and the rating system is new (the bronze-perfect); and that's just listing stuff off the top of my head!

The presentation is very good, although some of your lines didn't exactly look straight...
It also sometimes felt like you rushed the songs and work in order to make it as large as possible. I've forgotten that bit by now.

I can honestly say that this is one of the hardest flash games I have ever played. Not to get into it, but to play it and master it. Some of your pro songs are ridiculous. I also found your combo system (and the final ratings that go with your points) to be quite harsh. Going from 'Good' to 'Huh?' is a very little and easy to regain change, but going from 'rockin' to 'cool!' is brutal! It takes 40 correct notes to get back up to 'rockin', if I counted right. Nevertheless, I managed to *finally* achieve perfect on most of the amateur songs. Still working at that.

Now, to pick holes in your game.
I noticed that it's possible to narrowly miss some arrows. It's annoying, but it may just be my timing or my computer.
One large glitch I noticed, however, was that after you restart a song the first few notes wil occasionally clump together. I noticed 3 different distances between the first 2 notes of a song when I was trying to perfect it... everything from the normal distance to them actually overlapping eachother! (when a song starts with notes on the same line, this is an issue)

Overall (even though I enjoy being harsh in my reviews), I found this an enjoyable game. It can be brutally hard, even frustrating, but that gives (me, at least) even more drive to master it.

P.S. I LOVED the top ranking in pro! The animation is hilarious!
