"Life Changing"

I used to think that my unfortunate upbringing was an excuse to be average. The fact that the other children had the newest toys whilst I played with rocks meant that I had an excuse to be mediocre.

Now I understand that the lowest of the low can rise to be king if the circumstances conspire in their favour. And this is more likely with hard work and a stern (but fair) outlook in life.
