I really dig the gameplay, drag that you couldn't get everything wrapped up in time. I don't think it would have mattered, though- as dope as this game would have been, it seems like Rock Out games submitted today are getting hated on. If you plan on submitting a finalized version, I'd make sure to put that skip button in there for the intro (I'm sure you would have if there was more time) - it was kind of grating, in my opinion.

"Weird introduction, decent gameplay, hard."

I don't really understand how this is a rock out game. I can see its slightly musically themed, but it does not give me the feeling of rocking out.

The graphics for the introduction were painful. I am sorry but they were I don't know what about them made them that way. But the graphics for the game play were pretty good. Also you missed the deadline for the contest by a few minutes I believe.

The style of the game play was also presented very well. Marked down a few because of some glitches with collecting certain music notes.

The sound was kind of annoying for part of the game, so it is rated down slightly more harshly.

The violence gets a low rating because there was non really. When the character gets hit by huge spikes coming out of the ground, all that you see is an after image of him.

Based on how the controls felt, and the cool gravity effects, the interactivity gets an 8.

Humor, it was not funny at all in fact it angered me.

Over all it gets a 7 because of the annoying timing issues with the huge spikes, they just move to fast, and for some reason you cant run past the wooden part of them.

"Surprising"

Well, dickass, I kinda expected you to put up a half-assed attempt at humor chock full of obscure inside jokes that may be contextually hilarious, but stupid to anybody that isn't you or the twins.

Instead, you put up a decent game that you apparently put a lot of work into. If I wasn't doing something more interesting (RPing with the Loserz Forum), I would probably have kept going past the second level.

The Good: The animation flows really well and overall, the motions look smooth and pretty. Nice job on that. Also, the art wasn't exactly ugly (could've been better in the opening scene, but y'know).

The Bad: Minor flaw: I'm getting really sick of that anime-style run, with the hunched over posture and arms flying behind. That, and the game kinda lacked imagination. It wasn't UNIMAGINATIVE, but it certainly wasn't too original either.

Good job, though, Iain/Dickass. Tell the twins I still want to vanquish evil.
