(Update Aug. 14, 2008) A new song has been added in place of TT-In Your Face. Sorry for the inconvenience. I also added a retry button so you don't have to wait for your songs to load over and over again! Hope you enjoy the new song!

(Update: Oct. 07) WOW! 50k views! I'm very impressed on the impact of this game. You better believe that a sequel is in the making. Thanks go to Newgrounds viewers and musicians!

EDIT: Added an extra settings option, synchronization. Now you can fine tune your notes to the beat if the notes are not synchronized!

!!!TIP!!! Hold the keyboard like a guitar, the "NUMBER KEYS" are the frets, the "BACKSPACE" key is the strum bar. Use one hand to play the frets and the other to play the strum bar. Make sure you press the backspace key and the corresponding fret to play the note. Controls can be changed in the settings menu. If you're having a hard time playing, it will get easier if you practice. :)

Meh, been done, been done better.

I gave this game a two because I thought that there where ways to improve it, and here they are:
1. It needs less frets. Six is way too many to keep track of.
2. It needs more technically proficient graphics, as opposed to stylized graphics.
3. It needs to have ratings on how you hit the notes; good, bad, perfect, etc.
Also, this is more like Frets on Fire than Guitar Hero, just so you know.

The dang game doesn't work for me.

I couldn't find a way to get the stupid game to work. I would press the color coded "frets" but nothing would happen, also, the tutorial was a pain, since it was numerous pages. Finally, the load time, even on my high speed connection for the songs was unnacpetable. Sorry dude, I did not enjoy this, but if you fix these problems, it will probably be front page material.

Semikiller responds:

When the note gets to the bottom, you need to press the number AND the backspace key to strum it.

This is great

To be honest i really don't like guitar hero but for some reason i like this. It could use a pause button but other than that its one of the best things ive seen come onto newgrounds in a long time. Very inginuitive.

love this game

the game play is really nice and the controls are pretty easy to use. the game gets real hard though on the hard and even some of the normal difficulty songs so i ended up playing mostly on easy. but its still a great game
