(Update Aug. 14, 2008) A new song has been added in place of TT-In Your Face. Sorry for the inconvenience. I also added a retry button so you don't have to wait for your songs to load over and over again! Hope you enjoy the new song!

(Update: Oct. 07) WOW! 50k views! I'm very impressed on the impact of this game. You better believe that a sequel is in the making. Thanks go to Newgrounds viewers and musicians!

EDIT: Added an extra settings option, synchronization. Now you can fine tune your notes to the beat if the notes are not synchronized!

!!!TIP!!! Hold the keyboard like a guitar, the "NUMBER KEYS" are the frets, the "BACKSPACE" key is the strum bar. Use one hand to play the frets and the other to play the strum bar. Make sure you press the backspace key and the corresponding fret to play the note. Controls can be changed in the settings menu. If you're having a hard time playing, it will get easier if you practice. :)

By far the worst Rock Out game I've seen so far.

There is really nothing good I can say about this game to help you fix, but I will try. If I were you, i would use the arrow keys like everybody else, start from the ground up, and make it so that someone can actual beat more the four songs without wanting to throw their keyboard out the window. Also, I should have to adjust so that I'm holding my keyboard. If you're not a videogame comapny that can make a new controller, don't chnage the way I use the old one.

Semikiller responds:

Why would I want to make the notes like arrow keys to be like everybody else? If everyone made the same game over and over again, wouldn't you agree it would get boring after awhile? And by the way, if you really wanted the notes to be arrow keys, you could have just changed the controls in the settings menu. I thought this review was a little harsh, but hey, everyone has opinions, even if they are not supported.

Where do I begin..

First of all, amazing game! I don't think I ever had this much fun playing an online game since I quit MapleStory, but that got old quick. You also introduced me to a lot of new Newgrounds artists that I never heard of, and I thank you very much for that.

Graphics - I think some of the other users are exaggerating a bit, the graphics don't bother me at all. Sure, it could be better, but I think that its find the way it is.

Style - You know why I gave you a 10 for style? Because you hold the keyboard like a guitar! I've never heard of any other game where you hold the keyboard in ANY way. If you haven't had reccommended that guitar holding keyboard posture, the overall score here would probably be an 8, maybe a 7. I'm thinking of getting a wireless keyboard, yeah, that would be awesome.

Violence - There is none..

Interactivity - I took one off for this because, as many other users have commented, there are too many strings to keep your eye on. I think that was very thoughtful of you to mimic a real guitar, but it just doesn't work for rhthym games. Other than that, I had no flaws, no bugs, just sweet guitar playing fun.

Humor - I gave a 6 for humor because the whole concept of holding your keyboard like a guitar is pretty funny to me. Especially when my sister saw me playing "-TT- In Your Face" blasting my arms across the backspace button and holding them into the air until the next chord came. True, that was a little dramatic, but trust me, it was really funny. :)

Overall - I think you can understand why I put that

Thanks! I am really looking for a sequal, the only things I reccommend you to do are making the graphics slightly better than they are in this game, and making 4 or 5 strings instead of 6. I hope all this information helped!

This game is good, but has some downs.

The scripting part is really good. But its the graphics that really threw it off. I dunno how to say this in a better way but, they suck :-(.
But other then that, the scripting, music and controls are nice. But I don't think a 6 is really needed. It will make it harder to figure out where your fingers are, and get your fingers all jumbled up.
Work on the graphics a little more next time ;).
Oh, btw, the Violence and Humor are a 0, cause there really isn't any violence or humor. xD So dont worry about those, I just couldn't leave it empty.

Freakin Sweet

I haven't seen anyone have their keyboard used like that. Great choice of music, and people already told you that the graphics aren't that great, but I'd rather have my game playable than laggy, especially in a game like this. Good Job.
