Rock Out A contest to make the best rhythm game!

YOU MUST HAVE FLASH PLAYER 9 TO PLAY!

Three cookies if you can find out why I called it Flash Critical Beats!

Flash Critical Beats (FCB) is a new form of music game on Flash. FCB uses the innovative gameplays of the popular music game Elite Beat Agents and the awesome rock musics of the Newgrounds Audio Portal.

How to play: Using the mouse, click the beats at the exact time to acquire the most points. The Enter key pauses the game. (Playing on a laptop with no mouse is suicide o.O! It might be just too hard.)

Comments: I had a lot of fun making this game. I spent several days continuously in making the gameplay as fun as possible and syncing the beats to the music as well as I could. I really hope to win the Rock Out competition. Good luck to all the competitors.

Disclaimer: Playing on a Tablet computer would probably bring out the most of the game. Using a mouse is fine, too. It makes it a bit harder, but nonetheless, playable. However, THIS GAME IS HELL ON A LAPTOP PAD. Racing to each beat on a laptop (with no mouse) CAN CAUSE YOU TO GO CRAZY. If your laptop does break in the process of playing (ie. from you banging it so hard because it won't make it in time), it is not my fault. You have been warned, sort of.

If anyone wants to create their own songs and notes for FCB, PM me. If enough people do PM me, I'll create a note maker (like F2Jam) and freely distribute it.

Poor remake.

Well, I played EBA and how thing that I immediately noticed was that well, the circle move way too fast compared to EBA, yeah I know, it's hard because the way EBA is done is that you're playing with the beat which is hard, but at least you tried, right?

XceeD responds:

Thanks for the review.
When I made the circles, I didn't realize their starting position and ending positions. Because of that, they go too fast or too slow at times. I apologize about this mistake.

yeee...uk. needs lotsa work, bro

hm. I saw this things explanation as being akin to EBA, but I was sorely dissapointed. The beats were not quite lined up, and the music sounded very alike on all (((3))) tracks. There was no real fun in this game, and it could have used a huge graphic overhaul.

This took around 3 minutes to load, and I seem to have wasted my time. Please redo and re-post. Come to think of it, I'm not one to fancy Armor games anyway...

*thinks*

I'd be willing to bet that if you asked, some flash artist on this site would be more than willing to do artwork for you...

... You should REALLY make a fully fledge flash EBA, with crazy anime nonsense going on. o_o That was more or less what I felt made EBA so fun... it was ridiculous.

XceeD responds:

xD
Thanks for the suggestion. I really should've done that xD! I was going to draw the anime stuff myself but then again, I suck at drawing :D. Next time, I'll be sure to ask someone to draw it for me :D.

You let a fan of EBA in his appetite

I expected a lot since EBA is such a great game, but some things depleased me.

In EBA,you must follow the ball movement with your stylus, but in this game, the ball isn't folowing the song speed, like in EBA and this depleased because you can't know the speed the ''ball'' will have.

Also,it seems that some notes, not a lot,are not into rhythm.

but I'll say it's an original games comparing to some games for this contest, arrows are starting to piss me off :P

It's a decent game though,

-Quebecboy,S ranked Elite Beat Agent :P

Thanks a lot for the review.
My friend, another EBA veteran, complained about the ball speed too, xD. I couldn't adjust it after I was done with the game though. Sorry that it pissed you off xD.

I'll make sure next time I make this to try to keep the speed of the ball constant.

I appreciate that you took time to play this game :D!
