For a few months we've been working on refining this game concept and taking it in various directions. What you see here is the underlying model that will be the core of whichever storyline/visual theme we ultimately go with.

Please play the game (more than once if you have time) and let us know what you think. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will help determine how this prototype version will evolve into a polished product.

Once you're done playing, please take a moment to visit http://www.subtilize.com/
swapbox and complete the brief survey there about the game.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because this is an early prototype of the game, there is only one level and no "Game Over" message. Simply play until you can no longer swap any boxes on the board and then take note of your score.

Very interesting game to play and i am excited about the multiplayer feature that i am sure you are going to add to this game later on. I thought the gameplay was fun and it was actually pretty interesting how the patterns started to form pictures and stuff, but that could have been just coincidence. I liked all the different colors for the blocks and i loved that rain drop sound effect you used. Overall a fun game.

I really like the concept, but it's frankly not enough on its own. Take a page from games like Collapse! and have blocks crumble when you make a square or diamond, powerups that clear blocks, different levels with more block colors, more difficulty and a points (or some other) requirement to pass it, and probably most importantly, a timer or something so that there is a possibility of failure. A game can't stand on its own if you can't lose it.

Also, as a small sidenote, a completely random board is not viable in the final version of the game, as when I started, there were already around five or six blue squares and diamonds. I had 110 points just for starting the game. That needs to be fixed.

All in all, I liked it. I'm critical because I can see this turning into a great finished product and I don't want to see it fall short.

Oh, by the way- Add some music. I could see some good electronica or techno setting a good, urgent mood here.

Gets a bit difficult and a bit tedious but it kept me occupied, especially trying to figure out what I was doing without reading the instructions.. Silly me.

But definitely a unique game.

Usually you'd have the objective to group the colors together, so it's a little hard to get used to but it's a very good game.

I'm not sure about this one 'cos it's a good idea and all but I just didn't like it.
