This is an idea I'd wanted to play with for a while (text making pictures) and I got a chance to do it as part of a college coursework.

I'm putting it here to see if people actually enjoy the style. Comments very much appreciated.

It's just a sub-30s advert for a fictional company, but hopefully you'll enjoy it. Maybe one day I'll realise an idea that merits the technique being used again.

I created the 'Mae Tang' type and the type in the 'slogan' by editing Verdana.

I Want To Buy!!

I wish they make commercials like this! It accually makes me want to buy a fictional product. It was so pretty too! I don't understand why people put some bad reviews, -cough- KSGEG -cough cough- I think it would be an awesome short movie, with animation like this. VERY fun to watch! =]

Thanks a lot!

Short film? I'd like to continue the theme and do something that uses the style for a purpose, rather than being kinda superfluous... but I can see that being on the back burner for a while.

Interesting

hi there, I think this was a very interesting animation. I liked how you had descriptive words for each element, such as for the ground. If your looking for constructive criticism, slowing down the animation a little bit would give the viewer enough time to appreciate exactly what they are looking at. Since its a mix between text and imagery, it takes a little longer for the brain to process :)

Overall, I really liked it. Good work!

Thanks!

This was made as a 'fictional advert' for a citiscreen or TV. At 29s long, it couldn't really be any longer (compared to normal ad. running times) and I'd rather folk enjoyed it a 2nd/3rd time anyway, as ads would normally be seen multiple times.

But yeah, I've got an idea to further the concept quite a bit and I'd like to definitely do that as a 'short film' rather than a 'fictional ad', so I won't have the time constraints.

Thanks a lot for the top review! Constructive crit. is rare here!

....

wtf were u high when u made this or sumtin suprised u didnt make the flower a pot leaf lol can u please exsperes the point of making that to me lol

LuckyLollipopLad responds:

Were YOU high when writing the review? I mean the 'txtspk' is unbearable and 'exsperes'? I take it you mean 'express'.

Tip: if you use proper spelling/grammar, it'll make your writings easier to understand. Consider it a courtesy to those who may read your words.

The reason for this animation's creation is given both in the preloader and in the 'author's comments' section.

For a college coursework, I had to create an advertisement and decided that the concept of using text for pictures would be an interesting one to pursue. So I did just that.

Beautiful

This is a one in a thousand, no, make that ten thousand. Great movie. Really original, and so smooth! I'm really impressed. Great work.
