Heh, reminds me of me.

I have to do something like this at my school as well...but for the teachers, they're clueless.

Needs work...

For starters: Add something to keep people using it from being bored. Add music or soundFX or something. Try a better background too. Add some more features the user can learn, like more advanced movie clip techniques or something. Secondly: Applescript and Actionscript are two different things. If you use Applescript in Flash most likely it will say ERROR and then some numbers. On occasion it might crash, because that happened to me when I was trying different Programming Languages on my school's flash programs.

All in all not the worst flash tutorial on the market, but it needs work. Try fixing it up some and resubmitting it. Have a nice day ^^

Alright for a basic-tut

I would suggest 'fleshing it out.' Make it so it's not just another boring basic tutorial, but like Froilan123 said, it's -ActionScript- and you should add something like sound and a background that doesn't make you want to claw your eyes out after only learning how to make a button.

This isn't a good tutorial.

First, AppleScript is really ActionScrpit. Ther is a diffrence between ActionScript and AppleScript. Second, add some catchy sounds. Last, try to make a pleasing background.

The point?

What is the point? There was no new information, it's all in the built-in Flash help.
