Edit: Frontpage!
Tom, you made my day...no my entire week!
I'm aware that there are a few bugs, I'm planning on resubmitting a new and bug-free version in the next few months...thanks for all of your support!
-LC
-Surrounded v 1.0-
This is the main project I've been working on for the past few months.
Controls are included in the game.
A few things to know/tips:
-The charge shot attack is strong at the beginning but it is actually weaker than the stronger weapons you buy. It is meant to be a "helper" at the beginning of the game.
-At the end of each level, health is restored.
-------------------------
What upgrades do:
-Weapons: Allows you to buy a stronger main gun.
-Shield: Adds hp to your shield, the blue thing. Your shield regenerates and takes damage before your health. Cherish it!
-Health: The green thing, the majority of your health points. Upgrading this gives you more points.
-Control: Upgrading this increases your turning speed, acceleration, and maximum speed. To avoid some enemies it is a must later in the game.
-Armor: Divides all damage of enemies by a certain number. The maximum amount of armor, for instance, divides all enemy damage by two- this is the same as doubling your health and shield. A very useful upgrade.
Enjoy!

Pardon?
Umm, pardon me for saying, but this game looks unfinished.
There are loasd of bugs that need to be fixed.
For instance, right now i am not actually playing the game, but letting the game play itself by bouncing off of the walls at full speed. The reason i am doing this, is because the last enemy, an enemy which i have killed several times before, is now immune to my bullets...they just pass right through him.
Also, theres only one real thing to do in this game: Go fast and shoot backwards...
Maybe if the momentum was self-sustaining, and you slowed down when drifting, then it would make it more challenging.

Bad
Controls were loose as hell, music got annoying after each loop, and the animation was stale.

Meh
The graphics were ok. Their style was cool. Sound was lacking. Music was alright. The controls were unwieldy and weren't tight--I gave up and just flew top speed backwards which actually worked way better than trying to maneuver around the enemies. I just lined my shots up with my exhaust... Pretty boring overall.

enjoyable
just a few things- it's way too easy, you just have to turn around while going full speed the other way the entire time.
and i don't know if it's a glitch, but there is only one wall where i'm at. they all appear on the mini map, but i just move infinitely now.
