That was one of the best games I've played. What set it apart especially was the style. While most zombie games have a store in which you buy things, this jacks up the realism and creativity up a huge notch by requiring you to find the weapons yourself. The weapons were great, but they could have used a short description to tell you what they are, because I was trying not to use weapons like the shotgun, sniper rifle, etc. because I almost got owned reloading the shotgun the first (and only) time I used it. The sound was good, could've used a soundtrack though. Killing zombies was fun, but a bit repetitive. Maybe if there's a sequel (I've got my fingers crossed) you could put in an upgrade system for the wall (spikes, reinforcement, other cool things) and a few locations to explore and colonize. What was best about this game was the day. This really set the game apart. I would find it really appealing if there was a sequel (hint, hint) that the game would focus more on exploring the area, with certain places to search, and rescue more people and start an underground survival group. That would truly be awesome. Also, it would've been nice if you could select your group's weapons instead of having them preset. Okay, I'm just going to say that I want a sequel with more weapons, more RPG elements, and more awesomeness. Explosive-Kun has spoken. Great game, keep it up.
Awesome game youve got here
Its an awesome game espiecaly for your frist flash game, But there is one problem i got out the chainsaw and swictched weapons and the chainsaw sound kept playing over and over, it drove me crazy
that be sweet if it happen in real life
that game kick mayjor ass man i played this game five time
(yes i have no life)
keep up the good work man
One problem: you screwed up the sniper rifle.
The Barret is supposed to be a fifty caliber sniper rifle. That means that armor does not protect against it and heads and legs should explode when hit by it. A .50 sniper rifle can break a man's head in two and throw the upper part about 50 yards from where hi body is. In this game it is too weak. It would have gotten a 10 for style, violence, and overall, plus a 7 for humor if the Barret had been done properly. Sniper rifles do NOT use ammunition that is similar to anything on the civilian market. They use a special type of round called a .50 BMG and it is used for antiaircraft work. That is because it has enough power to reach an aircraft and still inflict damage. This means that it has enough power to punch through ANY body armor with ease. Yes, it would be over-powered if it were accurate but then again, it's SUPPOSED to over-powered. That's why it uses 50 BMG rounds. Be more accurate next time.
Quality Game. This is what Newgrounds is for.
I have been searching Newgrounds for this kind of quality submission for months. Thank you for satisfying my desire for an excellent game.
The shooting was smooth. The objective, while not being new in any way, was perfectly pulled off with hours to search for people, weapons, and spend to repair your wall. Instead of shooting as many people as you can to try to rack up enough points to earn the next weapon, you have a realistic, not to mention more pleasing, method of obtaining them. Now I can stand in the back of my fort with my hunting rifle, watch the 6 people I have collected pick off people, and snipe to my hearts content. On that note, I thank you for the fast running zombies. The first few levels almost completely removed all my health because of them, making the game a real challenge.
My few issues with this game are that, well firstly that it ended so soon after 20 nights, and that you could not switch weapons while reloading. That is a big strategy of mine, to fire till the gun is empty, switch to my other gun and keep firing until the screen is clear enough to reload both weapons. I was able to live without using this method, but my personal preference is to be able to do that.
Sadly, I was not able to obtain the AK during my play. *sniff* I wish I could have pulled that off, perhaps five more levels would have allowed me to obtain it... and then properly use it to my enjoyment. I feel that because the levels were so few, that I wasn't fully satisfied with the time I used to search for each weapon by enjoying the special features of each gun. The sawn-off shotgun was thrown into my Hitman-like gun shed, and forgotten.
All in all I think your game is amazing, and has a high replay value. In fact, I think I'm going to stop writing this so I may go play again. That AK will be MINE!
Context? Context is for casuals.
