Wow, thanks for the front page! Sadly, this is the greatest thing that ever happened to me :P. Well, I'm glad most of you like it, and I'm working on the second one now. I hope it's as good as this (It'll be better)

Alright, after reading all of your reviews, I have thought of some more ideas for the second one. I want to keep the original idea of having to press certain keys, because without that, it'd be like any other shooting game, but instead, I will have fewer keys to hit. I am thinking maybe some Bloops will need to be shot with a bubble when the space key is held down, and others do not. That was it will be less hard, but still fun. I also will have more levels and powerups and anything else like that. Please PM me any ideas you may have and I will try to include them in the sequel.

Also, a lot of people are complaining about things such as an audio on/off button and a pause button, and I will be sure to include that in #2. And for those who want a quality button...look in the options. THERE IS ONE. :P

I really appreciate everything, for all of your great reviews. This is the most response I've had on a game on NG before, so thanks a lot, guys.

And the second one will be less boring, and will have better music (The music in this one was made by me, and I believe I can do better now with FL. If not, I'll just get music from the Audio Portal or something instead of using my own).

I just made this because I wanted to make something sorta original and yet fun. It didn't turn out completely as I had planned, but I guess it's alright. I'll be starting my PacGore game now, so...blah.

My first entry for the Armorgames contest.

By default, you control the cannon with your mouse, but you can change it to the arrow keys in the options (It's easier with the mouse anyways)

Just make sure the bloops don't touch the bottom. Press any letter key from A-Z to fire a bubble, space to fire bombs if you have any. Hit a bloop with a bubble and get 5 points. If the bloop's letter is the same as the key the bubble was fired with, you get 10 points! Be sure to submit your score, and take note that the first level goes slow. Don't get bored and quit. It gets way harder.

T-t-t-ooooo Ssssllloooooooww

First off, I'd like to say that the graphics, style, music, and basic premise were really good. However, the Bloops fall really slowly, and the levels are really long! The game should get harder faster, and needs more special situations to mix it up (e.g. 'heavy' bloops that fall fast to hit for extra points, something that crawls around eating bloops that you have to bubble to stop it, poison bloops that take away points if you bubble them, etc.) I got bored fast. The basic mechanics of this game are good. It needs a sequel.

weird

it's not a bad concept to play around with. I played it, the style seemed very 2.O and shiny i will give you some props for that. Unfortunately, I found the game really dull and repetitive, all it seemed like was repeating a choir over and over. It doesn't quite have the edge as 'space invaders' and i'm not sure. probably cos space invaders and other games are purely about instinctual reactions and you're not concentrating and what letter to press but how you go about shooting. I felt that the thinking of the letter to type and then typing it then moving it onto the other one seemed to be irritating. Not in a more difficult way, but it just made things like i said seem like a chore then anything fun. Probably because I might have a low attention span, it would be a good idea for a game designed for very young people. Also the graphics didn't leave to much to the imagination - they're games where you fly over terrain and you can see water and roads and stuff, when the background kinda stayed simple in this game and so it limited the graphical experience a bit.

The reason I gave you a 5...

Although your graphics*, and style, and everything was great, it was the gameplay that suffered.

*You get a 7 in graphics because it was difficult to distinguish a D from an O with the font you used.

The sensitivity of the controller was bad, at one point, two fast-moving bloops fell down the screen at opposite sides, and I couldn't punch any letter, let alone the right one before they dropped, which cost me a life. (I managed to get one of them.)

Also, there are long gaps within levels where nothing falls, and often, even at level 5 and up (I made it to 8) there is nothing but two or three very slow bloops crawling down the screen, or that same number in lightning fast ones where it simply isn't possible with that low of control sensitivity to keep from losing lives. Kinda like a 7/10 split in Bowling.
