Im excited! Yes I am. I'm hoping for front page, so lets see what goes on. Thanks for the reveiws! Woo hoo!

From October to today, I have put most my head and heart into this animation. I hope you find it fitting to Coldplay's song, and hope you enjoy it completely!

Every aspect of this video is amazing. Inspiring. 'Impressive' would be an understatement.

....That. Was. AbsoFREAKINlutely amazing! The sound quality was the first thing that caught my attention, it was perfectly clear. Graphics were fantastic, everything fit the music perfectly. That's what made it amazing. Everything fit the song EXACTLY. I was surprised that this doesn't have a higher rating. I don't think people understand what you were trying to do, they're impatient and didn't give the movie a chance. I'm still totally astonished. This is AWESOME. Your interpretation of the song, the eerie feeling throughout the movie, synching everything to the music perfectly. I...I think I love you. GREAT job, absolutely awesome.

My God!

This animation is so different than the others i watched here.Especially, your style is very impressive and your choice of music is great, that i'm one of the fans of Coldplay and Spies was one of my favourites.Congrats on your work...

definately a good movie...

Notice, however, that I did not say great. The movie could use some changes, even though minor, to make this a really masterful piece. I'll take care of that first.

-The artwork, namely the drawings of the characters, seemed too soft and cutesy for what you were trying to do. Keep to the theme, and make the entire work more macabre, nay, distorted. My idea would be to take a surrealist approach to it. This was the main reason why I only gave you an 8 on style.

-The beginning of the flash was my favorite part, stylistically. After the scene with the boy, however, the detail in every scene seemed to diminish. It would be more effective to have rising action to the inevitable climax.

-The climax, or what I figured to be the climax, was dormant and overall a letdown. As I mentioned previously, the rising action would help fix this problem, but still, there was no way of saving it. (two double-entendres in this paragraph...see if you can find them)

Well, with that out of the way, I can finally say, "Thank you" because you have finally given me something to write about again. Usually, I save reviews for the works I find very innovative or for the artists I see with a lot of potential.

P.S. You know, when I say that photo in the loading screen, I thought this would have to do with the Rosenbaums (anyone getting ideas?).

wittyhobos responds:

hmmmm....i found the climax to be quite wild. i specifically designed the colors and scene changes to be much more brightr and quick than regular. but mabey im wrong. also. in designing this flash, i know for a fact the detail did not change throughout the movie. most every scene is detailed. i guess the tree scene just seemed complicated, but infact the climax was the most complicated and difficult to render. but i might be wrong again! BUT THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS! thanks everyone :)

Good one

You know, this reminds me of the other coldplay "spies" flash on newgrounds, which happens to be in my favorites list (around #30). This one is certainly rendered better than the other one. The story is OK. I thought:
- That the boy is constantly waving his arms and legs as he sinks doesn't look that good-it would look better if he were still as he sinks
- That it doesn't make sense to both have the boy apparently sinking hundreds of feet, yet still surviving.
Otherwise nice work, good use of atmospherics.

wittyhobos responds:

ok. just to save my dignity. the boy is waving his arms at first, the final scene in sinking i specificaly made his arms NOT move. watch it again, mabey yull see it. hey but seriously thanks for the review! and thanks for commenting. and the fact that he survives is not necissarrily true. its sorta about forgiveness... but thanks again! :)
